I found a VH tape today in my bedroom, wondering what it was "thinking it could be lost porn or something" i surprisingly saw that it was old hip-hop videos i taped back in 1997. However the clips themselves were all before 1997 itself..

I saw Soul Assassin feat. Dr. Dre & B.Real's "Puppet Master" and Method Man's "The Riddler", Souls of Mischief "'93 'Til Infinity", Wu-Tang's "C.R.E.A.M." and "Can It All Be So Simple". The original "How High" by Red & Meth, Black Sheep's "The Choice Is Your's".. Some Flava Unit MC's clips lol.. Ultra Magnetic MC's.. shit was purely amazing.

Point of the thread name some older clips which peeps might not know of, hopefully I can check them out by downloading or something.

That Dr.Dre & B.Real clip was a trip, Dre playing a voodoo witch doctor and B.Real a hellspawn hobgobblin.. shit, it's great ain't it?

peace.

I love seeing the old videos. I always try to watch BET when they do throwback Thursday on Rap City. "Follow the Leader" and "One More Chance" were a couple I've seen recently that stand out to me. I hadn't seen those for a long time.

"C.R.E.A.M." is a classic, but it annoys me how their mouths aren't always synchronized with the words haha. It gives it a certain charm though.

Yeah, old videos were fucking great. I used to watch them all the time when I was a kid. All those old school videos shit on the ones you see today. Although it's not really TOO old, my favorite is probably Triumph by Wu-Tang. I got that shit on my computer. C.R.E.A.M. is a dope video too.

Where do you get your videos? My laptop has a DVD burner and I been thinking about making some collections

Gang Starr's "Royalty" has always been a favorite, although not too old. I remember hearing Guru and Preme talk about the making of that video and they were saying they filmed it right in the middle of NY and it was Superbowl weekend or something, and they were saying it was dope because there was a big screen TV showing the game so they could all watch it while filming the clip. Also, they said that they saw a lot of other NY hip hop artists/affiliates during filming, so they all just jumped in the clip. Guys like Big Shug, M.O.P., i think Treach, Freddie Foxx, Erick Sermon and others...

Another of my favorites is The Pharcyde's "Drop". Outkast got alotta dope ones aswell, mainly from their first 3 albums. And Ice Cube's got loads of good ones - ones like "It Was A Good Day", "Who's The Mack", even that song with Krayzie Bone...

D.O.C. - The Formula, love that video.
Geto Boys - Mind Playing Tricks..
Rappin' 4 Tay - Off Parole

On another note, is there an NYC cat called "Black Cat" or something like that? I remeber seing a video by him ONCE, and never again.
The video was very short, couldn't have been longer than 3 minutes & it was an animated video (very dark type of cartton). It had the an infinit sign (8 Tilted on it's side) type of sign showing up through out the video...
Anyway, it was a dope songs, and if anyone knows it's name holla lol.
