It was an interesting read, I have to say. I've definetely been in your shoes a couple of times, but never on such an important day, as a birthday, for example. Just the thought of birthdays usually going wrong for me in my childhood is the reason why I don't attempt to celebrate my birthdays anymore. But, as I finished reading your post, I couldn't help but think that you may not have planned this night smoothly enough? If I wanted to celebrate my birthday at a club(I wouldn't want to), I'd go ahead in advance and reserve a table or a little corner or whatever, and get VIP or something. To me, it seems that you wanted to go along with the night thinking that everything would take care of itself. Usually, it's quite the opposite. As for your lady friends and the way they ditched you and acted as if it's just another weekend and not their friend's birthday.....make better friends.
Also, looking at all the negative replies in this thread has me thinking, "Don't you ever remember being a teenager, too?"
All the guy needed was a couple of encouragement words or just a simple reply like Militant's. Is that so much to ask for? Now, I'm sure it has to do with you guys not liking illmatic or whatever, but come on. It's childish.
