Moving along with the theme of the day. I sprained my ankle two weeks ago and my physical therapist has me doing ice baths every day at home. I fucking despise it. It's 15 minutes of torture in freezing water with hundreds of fucking icecubes in it. It is not even cold, it is just plain painful. I feel my leg going from being cold to being frozen. It makes me hate life. Yet, I'm able to go through with it every single fucking day and it never gets any easier. You'd think that after 10 times doing it, I would get used to it. Ok, that's my PMS thread of the day. Now, I have to go endure torture.

I could understand if you had to go neck deep (<<<<<<danger of dying here) but as it's just your leg (maybe even just from the knee down), really, don't be such a wimp.

15 minutes is very long and quite painful. even if its only a leg.

Painful? The leg goes fucking numb <<<<<< you can't feel shit!

It's cold, not painful but rather uncomfortable. Maybe you have a poor mentality.

Because his physical therapist says he's to do ice baths - I'm assuming it must be a bad sprain....... or a sick therapist lol

yes, after 15 minutes it's numb, the first 5 is painful

I'm currently training with the english football association and we have to do that to patients all the time,

the england team actually do get in wheelie bins full of ice water up to their necks after training and we've been told that alot of the players can stay in there for up to 20 minutes up to their necks in freezing fucking water, apparently ashley cole is a real wimp tho and actually went back to arsenal and complained about it! said he got a cold from it!

If I was a wimp, I wouldn't do it. I may be a wimp because I just try to express my feelings about it. :(

is it still hurting after two weeks?

No, but it's still swollen and I have a lot of blue/purple spots over it. My physical therapist says that she's never seen a sprain like it, with so much swellling when she first saw it.

It's not cold because it's numb. I don't feel the cold. I feel pain, but you're right, it's more like just really uncomfortable. Poor mentality could be it, as I quit basketball tryouts after 1 day cause I almost fucking died after the first practice, lol.
