^ a lot of people didnt like him, his style of play at times ud watch and be like, "damn this dude is terrible he just runs around" he wasnt flash, he didnt jump very high, but by the end of the game he did some serious damage. his game was bred on the streets so thats why it was ugly at times.
he had game though, no doubt, although i do recall, in his rookie year, they were playing the bulls, he said in an intereview that, he was going to embarass jordan on his home floor (back in 91? i cant remember his rookie year), anyhow the game started, jordan jacked the ball from him, went down, got a 3 pt play, next possesion, he stole the ball from payton again, went down and threw down a sick ass dunk, on paytons next possesion, jordan forced a bad pass, and hit a three on the in bound, and finally stole paytons final pass and set up pippen for a dunk, payton was quickly benched and his coach at the time told him to never talk to jordan again
and if u recall, payton didnt listen and the bulls won the title agains them in 96
