i feel bad for the guy. the understanding was he'd go on a tryout (the beginning of this season) for the contenders looking for a point guard. he lived up to his half, tutored delonte west. he even wanted to sign an extension! what do the celts do?...trade him to the worst team in the league. i realize it's a business, but that just plain sucks.

You are right. I just heard that his contract is being bought out. And, Payton has agreed to sign as a free agent with Boston Celtics after all.

If payton wants to win a title, he should sign somewhere else other than boston.

Ehlo was only really a role playing kind of guy but had good defence, and a killa 3point shot on him. That cavs team was awsome tho, nance, harper, daugherty, williams and price!. i've got some old tapes of them, and they were a deadly team, u have like ehlo price and a young steve kerr, launching 3's! must of been a prick of a team to gaurd.

I've been a fan of the Sonics since I came here, and I never really liked Payton. I went to a pre-season game once against the Grizzlies and the dude almost got a technical in the first minute of the game. I'm like, "It's a pre-season game, man." Stop TALKING DAMMIT. But, besides all that, he just never appealed to me.
