Human Dogg was a Hip-Hop group formed in the late 80's early 90's by
Scrap (Harold "Scrap" Fretty).
It Consisted of Scrap, Loc and Tweet. Scrap had also formed a group
called The Dogg Pound around the same time, which was a hype group
for Human Dogg and was about 5 members deep. Anytime Human Dogg had
a show The Dogg Pound would attend as well to show their support and
to Hype things up. The original members of Human Dogg and The Dogg Pound
were all diffrent from the crew Snoop Doggy Dogg had put together later on
titled Tha Dogg Pound. Human Dogg resided in Compton, CA and their hype
group The Dogg Pound was from Long Beach, Ca.
They would represent who they were by walking around with Dogg Pound
hats and jackets on a daily basis. Human Dogg was on a verge of getting signed
by Def Jam Records around 1991 but unfortunately the group was in the middle of a
break up due to immaturity and creative diffrences. Around the time of Coolio's
"Fantastic Voyage" which Human Dogg assisted in writing the hook but was never
credited for. Coolio proposed to manage the young talent but they felt that the
proposal wasn't for their best interest and refused the offer. Coolio was a mutual
friend of Snoop Doogy Dogg so there was no question about it that Human Dogg
and The Dogg Pound had recognition at that time not only by Snoop Doggy Dogg
but by many inside and outside of the Hip-Hop music industry. Hear is a
part of Snoop Doggy Doggs rap from the "Doggystyle" Album off of the track
titled "Doggy Dogg World":

I'm hearin motherfuckers tryin to steal my flow
But it ain't no thang cause see my nigga Coolio

What was Snoop REALLY trying to say? Did Coolio give Snoop Dogg his image
as well as Tha Dogg Pound without Snoop knowing? Or did Snoop know and
then used reverse psychology to play it off like rappers were trying to steal
his flow and image just incase Human Dogg was to get back together
and try to make somthing happen for themselves? Not to mention Snoop went by
the name of Snoop Rock before he had gotten a record deal.

Shortly after Snoop Doggy Dogg had formed Tha Dogg Pound, He and his crew were confronted by Human Dogg at Club Grandslam. One of the members of Human Dogg approached Snoop and Tha Dogg Pound and said "Man, you ain't the real Dogg Pound". They responded with silence.
