okay, so a run-down of the woodie situation from my point of view, with emphasis on a few key flagpoles as the magazines call them that hold up the tent that makes this story.

so woodie starts coming around and people start to notice him. as a publicity stunt, probably, he brings on a couple of friends as his cronies. one of them disappeared into the nothingness from which he was once spewed out, but the other remained and became woodie's loyal sidekick. the two would verbally demean each other as a sign of affection.

lol i was here over a year before stred and t dub came. i cant remember why t dub signed up but stred had wanted to sign up for a long time after he read the "diss a member in a shot 8 line rhyme" thread back in 2006. he couldnt sign up because he only had a hotmail acount. i banned t dub.

with woodie having an avatar from early on, having more proper typing and writing longer posts, he always came off as the intellectual one. the bold one. the clever one. stred would be the caesar, that for all his antics and humors never quite measured up to the previous master, and never made much of an attempt to do so either. only that caesar came after stred. anyway, you get my point. stred would mess up with the grammars, write short posts, he had little information in his profile so they were hidden in between avatars, signature pictures and mostly gay posts. knowing grove street i knew they were both white trash, but stred always struck me as the trashier one while woodie was the "clean" trailertrash boy. like a showered rat among rats.

i am the smarter and more clever out of stred and myself, i also talk more shit than he does. streds the more athletic one out of us as well. stred wears fluro board shorts i wear non fluro ones.

in hindsight, i look at pictures and stred is actually the one that has the more clean, johnny depp-type rugged handsomeness to him. woodie is more your goofy silly cute type, like mickey mouse's friend. a clam with a pearl inside. i guess what i'm saying guys, is, it's been a rollercoaster ride and i have enjoyed every last minute of it. thank you!

I don't remember much of what his friends post, but that Wood guy always seemed like a fucking moron to me. I'm HONESTLY not saying that to sound like an asshole or to purposely be a dick to him. I don't know him. He could be the complete opposite for all I know.

It seemed to me like he joined the site to only fuck around and make completely dumb shit posts. Like I said before, to me, this is a music forum/website first. That's what SHOULD attract people imo. Then as they get to know people and post more, that's when the whole Our Block community type shit should kick in. Also, I am not saying all that as the completely dull guy with no sense of humor type of attitude either. I have a great sense of humor and I love funny shit like any one else does. Dude just seems to either try too hard or just be completely retarted to begin wtih.

woodie is completely retarded, has never once tried to say otherwise, and everything you say is things that he himself admitted to. he's not even a hiphop head like for example me and you. and to a further extent you. he was a member here but for this to be a hiphop site, it has to cater to the respective audience. the problem is that none of the site's owners have time and inclination to make this a #1 hiphop site. every now and again, rukas will use his contacts to pull an exclusive interview, and rahim has actually done a few, but mostly, this site reports what other sites report and none of the newsposters do anything beyond searching the net for news. i'm gonna speak carefully because there can be people i'm forgetting, not thinking about, but if you look at sites like allhiphop and dubcnn you can look at the individual newsposters and actually call them journalists because they have a network of artists and contacts they can hit up, and who put them on mailing and e-mailing lists. why do you think hitemup was so successful? jon, rukas and mostly stephen iirc knew LOTS of people that had intertwined with pac's life line at one point or another. we don't have this today, and therefore we can't attract the real hiphop heads. unless we put a huge banner on the front page with signatures from us all that says "this site has a tight community, but there's quality discussion and real hiphop heads will appreciate the maturity of the musical taste of this site's members" we don't really have a chance to snap up those people who would much rather go to the larger sites where they can have their questions answered and their opinions challenged. take me for example. i'm "moving up" in the hiphop world and have been for a few years now, if i have a question or something i either hit up you or chronic on msn or make a thread here. i normally get my answer from chronic or elsewhere on the net though lol.

being as such, i don't think it's fair to call this a hiphop site. but i'm with you. back in the day it used to be like how you said. people would join (although for the pac shit) and when they started to get to know people they would dare venture into this forum. so i'm not disagreeing with what you're saying, i just don't think it's reality here on streethop.

and imo that puts woodie in a better light
