coyote-tf said:yes weed is physically addictive fo sho wtf r u talkin about? a person who really smokes ( everyday 3, 5 joints) knows that...thats an interesting thread because i think about this shit a lot and is so hard to quit man weed got me crazy...
Chronic said:Weed is not physically addictive.
So the only thing it takes for people to quit weed is will power.
I smoke every day, I'm now going to quit for a while because my throat is fucking up, I'm physically too unfit to smoke (I'm always tired, so weed just makes me extra tired) and I don't get high anymore. I'm gonna get in the mood to smoke weed a lot but all it takes is some will power.
If you can't do that, you're too weak to deal with weed. Weed only fucks up the people that can't deal with it. And if you're too much of an idiot to let it get out of control, it's your own fault and not the weed.
Weed can be amazing. I'm depressed a lot and it helps. The experience of TV, food, music, sex are all heightened because of it. It can help (some) people do certain things better. Bad things happen only when people can't deal with it.
The whole weed 'worshipping' thing you won't understand until you start smoking every day.
"They don't understand that those three things are one of the easiest things you can achieve in life."
You don't understand that not everyone can achieve those things as easily as you. There are some people with problems.
And weed helps me with my problems, so fuck you
Also, if you really want to experience what weed has to offer, in my opinion you have to become a frequent user for a period of time. So you're familiar with the drug and know exactly what it does. Once you know that, you can create the perfect atmosphere for yourself when high.
That said, weed isn't for everybody. Some people are drinkers, some people don't want either.
man i dont think you should be covering up depression with weed, i know u probaly dont need to be told this but thats only a short term fix which is only diggin yourself into a deeper holeChronic said:Weed is not physically addictive.

There is nothing physically addictive about weed, that's a proven fact
There is psychologists to help you if you are depressed.
It won't last though... I was getting angry while watching Celebrity Poker and I have no idea why.
saltynuts said:I don't mean to pick on you but that is bullshit. I know first hand. I've seen a psychologist for my problems and it didn't do anything. My mom does a better job of listening to my problems.
They gave me Zoloft and told me to come back in 6 months. The thing is, Zoloft gave me motivation and I stopped smoking for a long time but nothing went away.. In fact, I would say Zoloft gave me more problems. I was angry more often and it fucked up my social life.
Weed on the other hand is helpful. I have anxiety problems and I'm always tense, weed fixes that so I can chill and not worry about every little thing. Cancer patients smoke medicinal marijuana so they can eat, I smoke weed so I can eat when I'm depressed and nothing tastes good. I've read stories of people who have suffered from depression all their lives and they tried every anti-depressant on the market but weed was the only thing that really worked.
I know weed has fucked my life at one point, mainly due to smoking way too much and not knowing my limits. I didn't use weed, I abused it and oh the money! The money I wasted! But things are different now, I limit myself, I don't smoke every hour so the money stays in my pocket and every smoking experience is better because of my lower tolerance.
I rather smoke weed than pop pills with a warning label stating "“increases the risk of suicidal thinking and behavior in children".
PS. I haven't smoked for about a week.It won't last though... I was getting angry while watching Celebrity Poker and I have no idea why.

I'll give you a shoulder to cry on.
S O F I S T I K said:But, I don't see you having any more will power than those people mentioned, because you have to use drugs to make your problems go away. If weed made your depression go away permanently, I could understand why you smoke. But, I bet that when you lose that high, you're feeling just as fucked up as before. I agree with the latter part of your post.
Chronic said:Look at it like this. The last few months I couldn't solve my problems. I didn't look at weed for a solution, not at all. I just like getting high and I happen to not feel like shit when I'm high. Win-win situation is how I see it. Now if I was using hard drugs, that might be a problem cuz of the addiction. But it's just weed. I'd be smoking every day regardless. I can quit when I want to (I sparked up my last one yesterday.. won't be smoking for at least 2 weeks). So either it was feel like shit all of the time, or only feel like shit some of the time. I know myself and I know I won't let drugs become a problem. Drugs are a problem when you let them become one.

"You need something when the problem never goes away." - saltynuts
That's basically it. If weed didn't give me that peace of mind the past few months I would've gone crazy.
With that said, I'm looking to get some medication very soon. And to clarify, my problems aren't huge but they do their job at fucking things up very well.
Thanks for replies.

. i used to smoke with friends it was something funny to do when we skipped school after all our year exam's. it was defintely worth it we had some funny times and we used to talk bout the stupid shit we used to do while we were high and such. now my friends do it just to feel good, to be high cause life is boring in there eyes, im not into that. thats why i dont smoke with them anymore, its became more of a medication than a bit of a laugh. it didnt fuck up my life what so ever and i dont regret it at all. but it becomes a problem when people are smoking it for the wrong reasons. some of my friends are hardly friends with other dudes they hang around with, there just smoke together, like if they quit weed i doubt they would even hang around with each other. like anything weed has its up's and down's. but i agree more downs than up's if its misusedS O F I S T I K said:Fair enough. I think I can understand if you use it for those reasons, I guess. However, my point still stands for people that aren't depressed.![]()
