How Far Would You Go?

Yeah I take note too, I kinda make mental notes to myself of what to wear and what not to wear. I hope the girls don't think we're checking them out!

I'm not a lover of black to be honest, I just find it dull and boring. But there is always an occasion that crops up for a little black number, and that's probably why I have about 10 black dresses hanging in my wardrobe (wasting valuable space come to think of it).

I have never noticed straight guys checking out what other guys are wearing though I have to be honest.

Although the other night me and my bf were watching Kanye West on a TV Show and I just happened to ask him 'Wow, isn't his jumper gorgeous?' and he said 'Yeah it is nice, I wouldn't wear it though'. His reason for not wearing it was because he thought other guys would take the piss, so I dunno maybe there is some pressure for guys dressing to impress.

I think it does look like we are checking them out. One time at the cinema there was this young girl wearing a really short spotty skirt. I looked at it and thought, crap - thats hideous. My bf says, were you just checking her out? lol. admittedly i was staring right at her arse, but not in 'that way' haha.

I feel safe in black I must admit. I feel like a twit sometimes in colours... i guess only because i dont have the confidence to stand out and draw attention. In a dress though, it's heaps slimming i find. one day though, i'd love a red dress. that'd be hot.

I think like beReal, looking and taking notice of what others wear is a great way to get inspiration. I think its cute that your bf is aware of what other guys might say. Funny thing is, guys would probably say something out right. Most girls dont take the piss, they just snigger on the inside. :(

^I do that too lol, think oh my god didn't you look in a mirror before stepping out the house, prob kind of nasty really but some ppl really ought to check themselves. My bf has never caught me checking girly asses out though, ya gotta do it more discreetly Amara :p

Black is a 'safe' colour I agree, and yup it is flattering - still boring though lol.

I saw a gorgeous gorgeous dress in Monsoon (dunno if they have that store where you're at or not), and I think it would really suit you Amara. It wouldn't suit me cus I've got lighter hair and skin, but because you're dark and you have an almost olive complexion (from your photo's anyway) I think you would look great in it.

I will try and find a pic to post up. It's not black though, it's very colourful and pretty :D

Matilde Dress

Sienna Dress

I think Amara would suit the first dress (Matilde) - think the colours would look brilliant on her.

I just noticed the second dress (Sienna) - this would prob suit me better to be honest. I may have to treat myself :D

Both dresses are great though!

Sometimes I think women have problems dressing up because of other women, not because of men. We usually like the clothes that make your "features" stand out. :)

Like, if a hot girl is wearing pants that aren't fitting to her ass, and are sort of baggy, she won't appear as hot.

That is a heaps nice design and I love the swirly pattern on the material. But yeah, the amount of colours would make me feel out of place. If it was all the grey colour on the right, that'd be nice. Argh I'm pathetic. lol. :( The Sienna is heaps cute. Yeah you should treat yourself!

Be Real - that makes me sad :( lol only kidding, what don't you like about them though?

Sofistik - Yeah that's a good point, it's all about what we feel comfortable in too though I guess, but I'm sure other ppl's perception of what we are wearing must have something to do with that comfort.

Amara - They have some nice black dresses too ;)

I just wear what i feel comfertable in, i won't buy something i don't like just cos it is fashionable, but sometimes i see stuff on other women that i like and want to get for myself!

well first of all the colours, like i already said. but neither do i like the styl.

im not a big fan of dresses but if someone wants to wear it please something more elegant and soberly (is this the right word?)....

well yes, basically its because the colours dont fit together, in my opinion, not at all.

yes, something like this. even though i cant see the full dress. but the colours seem to be ok.

or the Rouchella Dress seems to be ok, too.

^ OK, I changed the link now so you can see better!

I don't like the neck-line on the Rouchella Dress though, it's icky :(

the Adriana Dress look good but i would prefer if its not so wide/large (more like the Rouchella). i hope you know what i mean...

^^^ lol.

i think those dresses are nice, but only certain women could pull them off. otherwise they would look awful if that makes any sense?

Yeah it does make sense, I certainly couldn't pull the Matilde dress off because of my coloring, I really like it though (despite what Mr Marvellous says) :(

I rock what I want to wear. In London everyone seems to be rockin' Nike Hoorachies and fake Gucci/Prada man bags but I detest them both with a passion.

i wear anything i feel i comfortable in so generaly that means not followin the trend, and i just dont understand why men where such tight clothes fuckin gay

i wear my clothes differently, i could care less about fitting in. i have alot of friends anyway. i wear black mostly now. normally id wear a black tee, with some jeans and black chucks. sometimes i wear a black tee with jeans and white on black shelltoes.
