Technology How do you make your PC run faster

Well i've been wondering what i can do to make my pc run faster, I did do disk fragment and clean up, and i dont really have time to wipe my hardrive, so is there any other possible ways i can make my pc run faster cause defragging didnt really solve the problem

My girlfriend is running Win 98 on one of her computers and its obviously running slow as shit nowadays.

I tried to run a disk defrag but crap it would have forever, I left it running for like 3 or 4 hours and it didnt even reach 1%. I mean this PC hasnt been reformated since Win 98 came out, I always wondered what would happen if a computer was just left like that hehe.

The moral: Defrag your hard drives and reformat at least once a year.

here's a tip,and it does work really good,especially on older computers.

format the hard drive 3 times in a row.i don't mean format then install windows then format etc....What i mean is,format,when its done formatting,format again,when that's done then format again.THEN you install windows.
