Technology How do U reformat Vista?

Yeah Im retarded with computers...trying 2 reformat Vista so I can go back to XP so my soundcard will work...how does one go about doing this?

Do you have the XP cd? You boot from the XP CD. It will ask you if you want to do a fresh install of xp. You say yes. then when it gets to the partition list you delete all the ones in the list, then create one. then after that it will promt you to format using the ntfs file system, it will format then reboot and the installation will begin with xp. just follow the installation. Make sure you have all your drivers ready on a thumb drive or cd. network, video, sound, ect. This was lazy. holler on aim if you want me to walk you through. ill be on all day tomorrow.

if your soundcard doesn't work u need to install a special driver for it..go to the official site of the company of the soundcard that ur using...i had the same problem when i first installed vista....

^^ yup, alotta games have the same problem.. they arent able to do vista so a quick patch should be out and they work afterwords... just did this last nightw ith simcity 4...

...Im not that retarded, I know all about drivers. When I 1st got the comp they didnt have Vista drivers made...they finally released them a few weeks ago, but they still arent working
