Did you just browsed the internet and found Streethop.com/hitemup.com, or maybe somebody told you about it? Then, after reading people's posts why did you decide to register and be an active member here?

I remember the times when I was in my elementary school, and after all lessons we could sit few hours in computer science classroom to play or access internet. Nobody had internet at home at that time so it was really cool to see foreign websites, register an email account (dont know why to be honest), install a communicator to talk to other people etc. At that time I was already listening to Pac so I typed "www.google.com" :D and then "2pac". By a strange twist of fate, after browsing few lame sites that actually sucked (they had only some stupid galleries, ringtones, and pictures with tributes to 2pac) I ended up on hitemup.com. I've red so many interesting things about Pac.. I remember there were few latest forum topic titles displayed on the main page. I was reading titles only because.. I haven't registered at that time yet. Few months later I went to my friend's house, he had internet connection (wow:p ) so I downloaded a lot of Pac's songs from some mp3 site (I remember When we ride on our enemies og, I loved that song). Few of those songs had a hitemup.com tag on em. I was thinking about that site for quite a long time. I bought myself a modem - it was a telephone-pc analog modem, I had to pay a lot per minute for beeing connected to internet. After downloading few stupid communicators :D I typed "hitemup.com" and.. registered. I was a total newbie and was even banned at the beginning for some bullshit :D I registered another account and started reading all posts to gain some knowledge. I understood what it's all about and started posting from time to time. Unfortunately after 2 months my telephone bill came... 600$ (it's quite a lot of money here, more than average monthly salary, it was even worse because I live with my mother only and it was way too much for a phone bill for us). So I had to say bye bye to my modem and hitemup.com. After a year there was first quite cheap broadband internet services, it was a good offer so we decided to take it. I finally got on hitemup.com again but forgot my past login info. I registered as masta247 (a stupid nickname but the only one I could think at that time conscidering I wanted to register as fast as it was possible) and I post here since that time. I don't post as much as most of members here, not too many people know me but I really like it here. It's always something new, fun here. Sometimes reading threads here was better than reading a book. I remember a lot of things happened here, I remember there was always a really nice living community here, new problems everyday, people who helper each other etc. I never actively belonged to that community but I've red most of the posts here, gained knowledge on Pac. I remember a lot of thing about people, that still don't even know that I exist. It was somehow like watching a movie like baywatch or something. I know a lot about people who posted here, remember various situation and threads here, and nobody recognised me at all. I remember all those funny theories in death forum. Then I was mad as hell when somebody hijacked Hitemup. Even after it was "moved" to streethop.com I felt like it lost some of it's magic. It was a hella long time untill it was back and it wasn't the same. It took me some time to get used to it. Anyway I think the profile of this site totally changed. It used to be 2pac orientated site, with a small forum, and a separate small community, with people who were really close to each other. Now It's mostly a big community, people aren't that kind any more, they act like they don't care, there's not too much about Pac any more, it's much more about hip-hop in general and it seems like not too many people here are interested in it that much. It's mostly for people from the outside to read some news etc. but a lot of people who are here don't even listen to Pac any more. All the discussions usually end after few posts. When people post something new they usually make jokes about others, make posts, even if they're good, it seems like nobody cares to reply. Anyway I still see a lot of good threads, I see people who have their problems solved by other people from here, I see some nice 2pac related info, and even if I could read it anywhere else considering there are a lot hip-hop/2pac related forums these days I still prefer to read it here. Reading it anywhere else simply.. sucks. I got used to hitemup/streethop so much that I'll post here untill it'll be completely removed from the internet. For me, it's the best internet community I've ever seen, and I always feel good when reading new threads and posts.

With regards to everybody who read or used to read forums here.

--> I searched some stuff on internet because I was supposed to do an article on 2pac for some class

--> Found TupacBoard.com and registered.

--> Saw two croatians and a bosnian on the board.

--> Decided to stay because I didn't know any better. It's true actualy, this was my first board.

lmao I knew that if I'll write my story too long nobody will read it :D It's 2:30am here now, I spent 1.5h writing it, I'm going to school tomorrow and I should be studying now. Instead I was just writing something really important to me, and nobody red it :( :p

Sorry i didnt read the great wall of text either.

I first found about this site yers and years ago when i wanted to find out more about Tupac. hitemup.com was a great source and i had it bookmarked for a long time. Didnt register on the board until a lot later tho.

I read it, lol that's a long ass story.

I googled tupac on altavista.com back and i mean wayy back in the day and this came up.

i was on a channel in mIRC.. and i got into an argument with somebody who was saying that Jay-Z was complete shit.. This was around the time Bonnie and Clyde was coming out.. and he was saying how Jay-Z just rips other people off.. like Tupac. Then he went on a rant saying how Pac was the best and he told me to go to "hitemup.com" because "thatll show me everything"

it did actually lol. it was abundant with shit - his beefs, history, tupac "facts", photos.. great source for pac related shit.

lol funny cause all the people who decided not to read it, he's talking about you in it. nice, emotional little essay. i sort of agree with you. until rukas takes it down for good, i will always drop by here. i discovered it much like masta. we had just gotten 56kbps and i was surfing pac sites. thugsmansion and that whole network, that tuth or whatever site and tupac-hq. and this site. i thought the other sites were pretty wack though. i used to go to this forum, the mft forum and the wildnthawest.com forum, but i never registered on any until 99 or 2000. i became a pac fan in 98. hitemup was always the biggest pac forum so it was the one i chose to stay with. honestly i go other places now too for pac stuff. but this is still the community i prefer.

but yeah masta, try breaking the text up into a few paragraphs, gonna make it easier for people to read.

I found hitemup.com through a google thingy, while I was looking up Pac lyrics.

I registered, and this is where I've come for info on Tupac 99% of the time since then. Plus I've always refered Tupac fans I've come across here.

i dont remember too good, but im guessing in 2002 when i first got my computer, i looked for pac lyrics since ive always been a pac fan and found this site.

edit: forgot to add i joined 2003. i think i had another account though before that, i dont remember exactly.

Thanks for reading my post, yeah It's too long but I wouldn't know where to end one paragraph and start a new one as it's a one long story actually without any pauses.

Plus I'm using opera browser and editing doesn't work for me :(

I got half way down and realised the story wasn't gonna end their lol.

I discoverd this site through Outlawz.com

At the time I think it was either part of the network that HitEmUp.com was in or was affiliated but the sites looked pretty much the same. This in about 2001, I didn't register til 2002.

Im not a fan of forums on the internet. The people on forums really fucking annoy me. There are some here, but oddly enough, there are people I like here, and I enjoy the threads.

I would never give any of them my money. I've purchased VIP 3 years in a row now, StreetHop is worthy of my money. (Plus they trade in USD so I pretty much pay 50%).

i found this site through different searchmachines, and the reason why i keep posting here is alot of peoples here like dante (and many more) got alot of knowledge and arent kiddies who listen to pac only because hes sayin bitch and nigga

Haha thats pretty much my story i became a pac fan in 98 and had dial up but still surfed the net and found hitemup.com searching for pac info. Yea hitemup.com was pretty big back then. Whats his face was the site owner with rukas. Stephan? i think that was his name.

You should switch to Firefox. www.firefox.com Download the no script extension and you'll have the safest broweser of em all with all the accessibility you'd need, such as editing a long ass post that hurts my eyes lol.

back in 98, i think it was rukas, jon and chris. maybe the guy who called himself "edi".if im not mistaken, jon was the owner back then and mike and chris were co-webmasters and admins on the boards. but rukas could probably clear that up better because i don't really remember.
