S O F I S T I K said:^Washington ain't doing shit in the playoffs anyways, lol.
Big Easy said:How do you figure? We have the best trio in the league (Hughes, Arenas, Jamison). No trio in the league is statisically better. Look at the stats. And if I remember correctly, we punished Seattle the last time we played them. The 3rd seed in the West? If Washington plays Bulls in the playoffs, the Wizards will win. I can put some pay pal money on that shit.
S O F I S T I K said:Yes, they beat Seattle in Seattle by 1 pt last game, and killed us in Washington. Seattle has a problem with teams going small on them. Washington will probably play Indiana, I think. However, Bulls-Wizards is a great matchup. Imo, I do not know who would come out the winner. One thing though, even if they would beat Chicago, they still wouldn't do shit in the playoffs, you dig?![]()
Now, Big Easy asks himself, "What is this foreigner talking about?"
They are 0-4 versus Detroit and Miami.
Big Easy said:Oh and Indiana will be playing Chicago if things stay the way they are now. Washington would end up playing Boston, which is probably better for us because I think that even if Washington were to get that 5th spot back, we'd never get back to 4th and Chicago would have the homecourt advantage. I don't think that we get the home court if we play Boston, but we are a better team than them without question.
I'm still watching to see what Cleveland is going to do. The entire Eastern Conference is pretty interesting right now. The West Coast is basically all set.
S O F I S T I K said:^Well, then, there's not much we disagree on here. I would love for my Sonics to go to the Finals and I'm rooting for them, but I try to be realistic. They are not playing with the same intensity as before the All-Star Break and four of our key guys are unlikely to be totally healthy for the playoffs. The Spurs are just too good, even without Duncan. With Duncan healthy, it's a no brainer. Spurs are going to the finals. The thing is, the Suns are very likely to be upset in the first round. They don't play defense and do not even try. They just want to outscore you. In the playoffs, as history easily points out, the shots that go in during the season, do not go in during the playoffs. The Suns are most likely to be matched up with either Memphis, Denver, or Houston. All three of those teams are able to beat them in the first round, Denver especially. Memphis, they're a question mark.
