I was being extremely lazy looking at Keco's sideways picture in the picture thread and decided to instead of turning the photo, I turned my monitor on the side and I'm shitting you not, the entire screen moved into the position as though it were being viewed properly on it's side. Am I late to this phenomenon?!?! All I did was put the monitor on it's side and the screen corrected itself! WTF!! TRY THIS! OR AM I n00b!?

it's not any phenomenon.
we have ~2 y/o monitors at my work and they all do the same when you change the position. so it's not new. it works not only when you turn it on the side, but also when it's upside down, whatever position it is.
