my friend bought the sprite vinyl from crizzo at ebay. he just send me a clip which he recorded with his mobile phone. but as i listened to it, i realised its not the same version as the version floating around the net in bad quality, which is said its coming from this vinyl.
i heard, that the shots on the bad quality version are just tags. can someone confirm this?
and what is up with the version he sent me?

actully not.

it's similar, but the samples play throughout the entire song, not just the breaks. hence, i have labeled it the alternate new york mix

the record's a big deal. two brand new song versions on a freakin' soda promo record.

I dont know if I'm the only one but I find it wierd that sprite would try to promote a soft drink by giving out (out of all the songs in the world) Holler If Ya Hear Me DEMO** instrumental..Am I missing something??

yes, you are missing something.

sprite did a retro promotional campaign using old school hip hop. they released a bunch of classic early 90's songs on different colors of vinyl, all of them slightly remixed (like an x-mix or a hot mix). the songs on this vinyl were probably just grabbed by amaru and sent away without actually listening to see that they weren't what they thought. this is supported by the fact that all other records sprite put out have lp instrumentals which woul dbe used for mixing. great fuck up for us.
