I watched it a few days back.

Yes it was a very good film. I'd recommend it to all. No need for the graphic sex scenes though, the violence was pretty graphic too, but that was a part of the film. The only sex scene that really needed to be included was the 1 when she was turned on by Joey, on the stairs.

What did you dislike about it??

Everyone else in the thread thought it was a well written, well directed and well acted film.

Here's a quick review I wrote for a DVD rental site.

A History Of Violence?? It's not a Documentary.

When I sat down in the cinema I didn't know what to expect from this film. All I knew was that Ed Harris and someone from Lord Of The Rings was starring in it. I'll admit I was sceptical, but how wrong I was.

While this is not the greatest film I've ever seen it is certainly one of the best I've seen in the cinema for a while, and certainly good enough for me to pre-order the DVD when it becomes available.

It was well written, well directed by David Cronenberg and was very well cast. Viggo Mortensen was outstanding in the lead role, and Ed Harris exceptional as the sinister bad guy, as always.

For those who are easily shocked be warned, the sex scenes and the violence is very graphic.

But if you are after a slick, intelligent film that gives you a break from the usual Hollywood action movie nonsense, then this is for you.

terrible movie... terrible terrible... This movie was pointless - there was no theme, no redeeming quality... There was not even ONE likable character...Overall, it was a 2 hour shitfest... It was like Collateral meets Dawson's Creek, only worse... I could understand how this movie would be on the "edge" for average americans, but for people like me, who've seen pie, requiem for a dream, sin city, etc, this movie was like Bambi...

yea i seen it yesterday

pretty good movie

i dunno if it was well written, but it was a good story though

sex scenes were too long and out of place, and ending seemed kinna just rushed together

but i was entertained for the duration of the movie

This movie was seriously lacking a decent storyline. There was no theme to the movie. Its as if I was expecting some sort of twist in the movie to make it interesting....but it never happened Some good fight scenes though........
