Im addicted to those things. If I knew anything about Hip Hop I would start one of my own.
Anyone who has extra time on their hands should check some of them out.

http://www.cocaineblunts.com/new: Probably the most comprehensive Hip Hop blog I have seen so far. Covers everything from the East, West & everything in between. Almost everyone knows this one, but have you checked the ARCHIVES? HMM? Didn't think so.

http://streetsonbeats.blogspot.com: This one might not be on the level of the first one, but it's pretty damn close. History, Beefs, it has everything. CHECK THE ARCHIVES

http://www.houstonsoreal.blogspot.com: This blog concentrates mainly on the Houston scene, but has a bit of everything from everywhere. Shows (check out Devin's Concert in Vancouver...I was this <--> close to go there...then I remembered that if you don't work you don't eat...), interviews (Not just Texas cats by the way), and so much more. Plus it has Bushwick, which means it gets an extra point right there.

Add on, I won't mind reading up on some obscure scenes I slept on.

- unkut.com: east coast shit
- bsidewinsagain.blogspot.com - infrequently updated, b-sides to singles
- http://www.prohiphop.com/ - covers the business side of things
- hiphopmusic.com - general commentary
- http://chrislighty.com/ - pretty self-explanatory. i'm still waiting for something good
- governmentnames.blogspot.com - covers the Baltimore scene, mostly

Those are the only ones I visit regularly, the really good stuff is obviously on the lesser-known ones that can get away with more shit.

http://www.flint-rap.com: Im not really up on the Flint scene, and to be honest I doubt I ever will because it is huge. Not to mention that most of the Flint albums in the 90's were only released on cassettes, so a lot of it is lost forever. That being said, from the albums I did hear, they have a pretty good scene. Their scene is kinda like a combination between that East coast Grimey sound, Westcoast Funk & the Midwest tongue twisting flows. They have pretty much everything except Crunk lol.
My only problem is that they don't update it as much as I would like them to.
