Syria have been occupying Lebanon since 76, aand according to Taif agreement, they should have evacuated Lebanon in 92, instead, they stayed here and started abusing their power, and dealing with internal politics, and running lebanon the way they wanted. They also were justifying their presence by saying that they were needed to insure security, but they couldn't prevent the assassination of Rafic Hariri, and they fucked up.
Even if they are not behind Hariri's assassination, they are responsible for letting it happen.
I know you re lebanese, but my guess is that it's bee a while since you ve been to Lebanon or followed closely the news
