Help - Female Crew needs a name!

Amara said:
I asked for help and get a bunch of half arsed jokes... And I'm just trying to do something nice for people. It wasnt even my idea for a female crew, but I organised it thinking others might like it but rather than getting any support form the guys around here, its just a bunch of asses who wanna take the piss.... geez suddenly it isnt such a wonder why there are less than 10 females here!!

In defence of the Y-chromosome, few of the females have offered jokes let alone suggestions & it is in our nature to be foolish - we're sorry :(

I think Amara is doing a great job. She asked for serious suggestions and you boys act like a bunch of horny little toads and give off the wall shit talking about hoes and bitches. I mean come on, who's seriously gonna even consider half the bullshit that's been posted, which is why she deleted most of em.
Pay the toads no attention Amara, you're doing great! I been trying all day to think of something but nothing's really coming to mind for a good name. Ah well, we'll eventually think of something.

I'm a "toad" for suggesting something? It wasn't even inappropriate or anything. If it was then I wouldn't be saying anything, lol.

That wasn't directed at you in particular. I honestly don't even remember what you posted, or either I didn't see it before it got deleted. I was just speaking in general about the goofball suggestions some have been making.

Here's some suggestions and their meanings. (Latin - As that is the theme of the board, with capo and Don etc)

Agrippina -ae f. [the name of several Roman women , esp. Nero's mother]. Hence Colonia Agrippinensis (now Cologne).

anilitas -atis f. [old age] (of women).

conloco -are [to place , lay, set, arrange]; of time, money, etc. [to lay out, employ, spend]; of persons, [to settle, place]; of troops, [to billet, quarter]; of women, [to settle in marriage].

mulierositas -atis f. [love of women].

mulierosus -a -um [fond of women].

I kinda like the idea of using a latin word, or some other langauge... but it's gotta be catchy.

Assuming it won't get deleted again, i'll post my suggestion once more.

OPP - Imo, the perfect name for a group of females on this board. I don't see how this is sarcastic, disrespectful, dumb or anything like that. It's a serious suggestion and I think the females should really consider it.

Thanks. :thumb:

I shall be serious too.

Femme Fatale - It's in French, means "Deadly woman" but not in the killer sense. Being that there's several of you, just make it plural. Femmes Fatales, or whatever. Not good with French. www.freetranslation.com if you're considering it.

yeah femme fatale could sound great actually. i know what it means but at the very moment i dont know how to explain it. anyways.

and what OPP stands for?

Yeah was thinking about that one last night. I think its kinda cool.

how about taking a name from norse mythology, there are many from which we can choose. I was thinking of something like The Walkyries, it sounds so nice!

and here's what I found about them:

The Valkyries ("chosers of the slain") are beautiful young women, mounted upon winged horses and armed with helmets and spears. Odin needs many brave warriors for the oncoming battle of Ragnarok, and the Valkyries scout the battlefields to choose the bravest of those who have been slain. They escort these heroes, called the Einherjar to Valhalla, Odin's hall.

The Valkyries are also Odin's messengers and when they ride forth on their errands, their armor causes the strange flickering light that is called "Aurora Borealis" (Northern Lights).

The other thing about them is they have their own cool tune, "Ride of the Valkyries"!! :)
