As for the 'decline' of the site, as a long time lurker the only place I ever checked out was StreetHop & that hasn't changed so much.
When I first heard the old timers yapping about how good it used to be, I thought it was nostaligia, but now you are all making me think that maybe it was really, really good & is now just shit.
Edit: Glasgow was voted the European city of culture a while back & it's football teams are far superior to those of Edinburgh. Glasgow is widely regarded as having one of the best Universities in Britain & attracts students from across Europe. (Strathclyde is also pretty good). Glasgow has a lot of beautiful buildings & a rich history. Don't know about public transport in Edinburgh but here it is so-so. And a lot of tourists visit Glasgow.

I'm not just saying this but glasgow is like edinburgh's ugly sister....taking the whole city into account it's not a very beautiful place,and the football teams ,yeah I agree,but a capital isn't decided on teams,lol.....barca,munich,etc.
