This movie came out in 2003, but is only now reaching US theatres. Its a French made movie, but got dubbed over in English.
Being made in Europe you can expect less of a Hollywood cliche approach, and it is very grusome.
The directing was very good, so was the score, it set the tone for the scenes perfectly. Take your girl to this movie and i guarantee you will be sleeping in her bed that same night. A few people left because it was too gory, but to me it wasn't gratuitous violence, rather the violence supported the theme.
