Have you ever...

Yawned or anything of that ilk and had your lower-jaw sort of lock-up on you? I was wondering if it's a normal occurance or if I'm just messed up or something, a lot of times when I yawn my lower jaw locks, not really bad or anything, but enough to be annoying and sometimes hinder speaking.

For like 5 seconds yeah.

I think it's more like a minor spasm than anything serious.

i cover my mouth when I yawn, try and hold it with ur hand LOL so it doesnt reach the point of gettin stuck

I get that... but I get pains in the joint and it's recurring, I think it's a disorder called TMJ or TMD.

lol. yeah. Except when it happens to me, it's not the jaw that locks but the muscles in my neck around my jaw and throat. Kinda scary and very weird.

my jaw clicks whenever i bite into something and/or if i move it around. Also, we i talk a lot, it starts to hurt a bit...
