I scored the fight to Ricky by 1 point although i could have seen an argument for a draw. Now people have to remember that Ricky was indeed stepping up a weight and was challenging (we now realise even more) a credible champion who is a natural welterweight for his 1st fight. The fact that the fight was a close one and Ricky got the decision in america was a bit of a shock to me, this was a fantastic achievement and a credit to his determination and chin lol.
I don't believe that the weight difference was the problem here however, it seems that Ricky forgot his gameplan and found himself in a position where he had no choice but to march forward with hooks. Those of us who have followed hatton will know that he is a very good boxer, i believe if he would have led with his jab and attacked with in and out tactics he would easily have outpointed Collazo much like he did against Eamon Mcgee.
I don't think a rematch will happen for various reasons but if it did you would see Hatton winning on points in a far superier fashion i am sure of it. I believe he would still beat Floyd as like i have said before styles make fights and Collazo was a southpaw, a style Ricky has always struggled against. I think he should move back down for the winner of Corrales/Castillo or even a fight against Floyd at welter who is an orthodox fighter much more suited to Ricky. Plus he is still only a pumped up 140 pounder himself.
