Happy Birthday Jokerman

Thanks people. These are the first happy birthdays I've gotten since I woke up 1 hour ago. A lady friend of mine called me a few minutes ago and, as always, forgot it's my birthday. Did I tell her? No. I never do. She's not good with dates at all. Then she remembers days later and says, "why didn't you tell me?" To me it's like, what does it matter? If I have to tell someone, it takes away any kind of value it might have for me. I'm not disappointed because I know that's how she is with birthdays and dates.

How about you? If someone close to you forgets it's your birthday, does it upset you? Would you remind them? Why?

I'm not too big on birthdays but I guess the social networks these days help remind people. I wouldn't remind the person if he/she forgot.

I don't ever remind about my bd too. Just like you said, it wouldn't have any value to me if somebody would say "happy birthday" after I reminded. It's like this person tells me that just because I want it, not because he/she really wishes me well and remembers about me.
