Well the last thread i made about these guys vanshed since the 'hi-jack' so here's another one for everyone to discuss Green Day.

These guys are one of my favourite bands of all time, they have always provided us with solid albums and you can clearly see that over the years that they have grown up heaps.
American idiot the album was very solid and i loved it. It all linked into each other very well and it was good to see a political album to come out, though many fans may complain that it was too commercial.
Insomnia, Dookie and Nimrod (which i consider is one of the best albums of all time) are my favourites and American Idiot is creeping it's way through. The more i hear it the more i love it.

Anyway what do other green day fans think?
A) about their latest album
B) Their career in general
and anything else green day you'd like to share

PS, their concerts have always been absolutely AWESOME.

Are and forever will be my favourite artists of all time. They don't have a single song, let alone album, that I don't like.

TRUE. They headlined the Distortion gig at Nottingham a few years back which I went to, and they were amazing. They even managed to stop the rain.

Great, great band. I can't wait to see them for the first time on the 24th. They have 4 terrific albums in their collection.

A) I thought American Idiot was just fantastic.
B) I think they are gonna more popular because of the success of "American Idiot" and the song "Blvd. of Broken Dreams."

i like their old stuff better but I like the song of ''Bouleverad of broken dreams'' fits particularly well with my life at the moment although they are a good band..Was one og the groups I often listened to in high school.Always a favorite in my eyes.

The story of my life for a long while was Brain Stew from the album Insomnia. It was so spot on that it actually became a my theme.
Some of my mates call me sassafras, so sassafrass roots became another song that stuck with me.

You see, everybody takes a sad twist to that song for some reason. To me, it's one of the happiest songs ever. Maybe i'm just too optimistic.

Like Pacaveli, I prefer their old stuff. Like best day of my life (is it called that?)
It's called Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life).

My favourite Green Day song is possibly 2000 Light Years Away from their second full length album, Kerplunk. It's an amazing album, considering how young they were at the time. Great cover of My Generation on there too.

Good Riddance is one of the most overplayed songs I know of. It's not bad, just...overplayed.

Anyway, from what I've heard of the new album (about half of it) it's pretty good. I think my favorite songs from it are Jesus of Suburbia and American Idiot. I haven't ever really listened to Green Day that much, though. Any song reccomendations?
