In saying season, I mean the fall, winter, and a little into the spring, since that's when all the good stuff happens anyway.

Think about it...

Red Sox finally break the curse and win the World Series in stunning fashion

The Patriots proved that you can build a great, lasting team in the salary cap era

The Eagles lost

The Lakers have been dismantled

LeBron James is beginning to breathe life back into the NBA

the BCS actually worked

The Red Sox won the World Series

And no NHL (it takes up too much time on Sportscenter)

And the Tar Heels have a great chance to win the NCAA Bball championship

OK, maybe not the greatest, but pretty damn good IMO

Oh yeah, the Red Sox won the World Series

haha, as a New Englander it's been great for me. Trying to look at it from another perspective, they are good storylines. But the rest of America has been completely shut out. I bet the ratings on the west coast and middle America were low for that Superbowl with 2 east coast teams.

As far as NHL, I miss the playoffs, those were always fun. They did take up too much time during the season on ESPN, but playoffs were unreal. Comparable to March Madness.

Great year for me: UConn, Red Sox, and Patriots all winning. COWBOY UP!

It's been a Horrible season. The Lakers are rebuilding, the Dogers are rebuilding, we have no football team. Every championship besides the finals involved only the East and the Mid West, not the West or the South. What more can I say. Well, at least my USC Trojans won.
