Good Day

So what are you guys doing today? I'm in a tremendously good mood.

I'm having a great day off. It's 55 degrees here, a big drop from the past week or so. It's actually been hot. So I'm enjoying the briskness outside, drinking coffee and reading The Ballad of Reading Gaol. I'm noticing the leaves are starting to brown. Boskiness for miles around here. For the first time in a while I have no pressing business today, family or work or otherwise. It's a good feeling. Like I said, I'm in a powerfully good mood. Do you guys/girls get to have quiet days when you drink coffee and read poetry? What else should I do with my day? Tomorrow it all starts up again, the humming motor of undone work, but I have to say I love my life. Maybe I'll listen to "It Was a Good Day" later. Ice Cube, Oscar Wilde, and a cold, cloudless day. It doesn't get much better for me.

I was up at 6 and had good intentions of going to the gym but for some reason I played xbox until 10 instead. Was almost late to the soccer game. Had a friend record the kids so they can have their own soccer movie with their picture on it. Went with another friend to see the progress on his house that's being built. I was going to clean my car but its cold so I really just want to cuddle in my bed, watch halloween movies and drink chai bc I hate coffee.

@Ristol - I don't do any drugs any more. Last time I took drugs was over a year ago. Although it was 5 pills. Haven't done drugs regular for over 10 years.

i worked sooo hard today, because im so committed to anything i do but it all got thrown back in my face today at work. i was so infuriated with my supervisor at work especially how he always goes on childish over petty little things and tells on me (aka snitches on me) to the manager... no-one likes a snitch.

i wasn't even doing anything bad. i was doing the greater good and taking one for the team helping cut the workload.

in short, i work for a call centre, my system password was locked out and needed resetting. i phoned the technician on 2 occasions where he said wait 10 mins (both times), and so i offered to not sit there doing nothing but phone out emergency repairs to the contractors. in the morning there were about 50 queued up and not passed out, by which that time customers would constantly phone back to enquire why they hadnt attended. so i, for the good of the team helped improve service by allocating all of those on time and cut god knows how many potential calls from being made and queuing up the inbound call queue. apparently i deceived my supervisor!! WTF!! fuck him anyway.

and its a coincidence that you post this because ive had one of the worst days in a long time. i'll be glad to see the back of that place because not once have i received any praise during my 2 years there, or any recognition for my efforts. its all generalised and ran by one main culture, 90% pakistani/islamic males who favour each others ethnicity over everyone else's.

I've really been pissing people off this week. Kinda glad it's finally coming to an end now. I'm usually not like this, or at least not this bad where people have had to tell me to slow down and take a break from whatever it is I was doing/did.

So it's just a quiet weekend, college games are done, so just browsing Reddit and playing MW2.
