POLICE were last night hunting a monster who sexually assaulted a 14-year-old schoolgirl in a daylight attack in a Grovedale public toilet.
The sexual assault is the second vicious attack on a teenager in the city in as many months, but police don't believe they are chasing a serial rapist.
The girl, who was last night taken to Melbourne for medical treatment, was attacked in the female toilets at the rear of the secluded Grovedale United Services Memorial Hall on Reserve Rd about 4.45pm, Geelong CIU Detective Sergeant Rob Sodomaco said.
She had been walking home from school and had stopped in the toilets on her way home, he said.
``The young girl was in the toilet when the alleged offender entered the cubicle and sexually assaulted her,'' Det-Sgt Sodomaco said.
``There was supposed to be Girl Guides on here tonight but that has been cancelled.''
He said it was unclear last night if the attacker used a weapon to threaten the distraught girl.
The girl told police her attacker was a young Caucasian man, in his 20s, about 180cm tall and wearing dark-coloured clothing.
Melbourne Sex Crime Squad detectives last night inspected the crime scene.
The latest attack follows an assault in mid-August in Norlane at a public park where a 15-year-old girl was raped at knifepoint.
