Trying to get rid of them, well u know for a fact that Israel is never going to give up their nuclear weapons, neither are America, thats a fact. And the fact that both India and Pakistan have nuclear weapons acts as a detterent. Neither would use them in fear of retribution. Israel is allowed to act in anyway that it sees fit disregarding civilian life and world opinion. If another country in the middle-east possesed nuclear power would Israel be able to do this? no

in 1985 the world had 65,000 nuclear weapons, as of 2002 the world has 20,000. Not all weapons will be dismantled, but we're going to have far less than we had during the cold war, and all nuclear powers will stop other countries from making anymore.

India and Pakistan still had a war that killed 5000 people in 2 months when both countries had nuclear weapons, it doesn't stop fighting.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said israel should be "wiped off the map", i wonder what his intentions for a nuclear weapon are for? hmm

North Korea already withdrew, and after political pressure (even from its closest ally, China) they rejoined. Leaving the NPT doesn't make them immune to international scrutiny or embargos

Nuclear powers who do/did sign the NPT don't have to give up their nukes: they promise not to spread the knowledge or ability to create nukes to countries who don't have them. Non nuclear powers who signed promised not to create them.

Iran and North Korea can leave and have left the NPT respectively. That means they're violating an international treaty that they signed. Since the NPT inherently involves the UN's IAEA, the UN Security Council may wind up taking action against Iran because they believe that Iran is breaking the pact.

Israel didn't sign the NPT. A bunch of countries didn't sign the NPT, India and Pakistan among them. It's got nothing to do with preferential treatment: Israel's got nobody to spread nuclear technology to anyway. And I probably don't need to explain to you why the West can accept Israel as a nuclear power but not terrorist sponsoring states like Iran and Syria. Or would you rather the likes of Al Qaeda and Hezbollah get access to them?

No but the fact that both countries had nuclear weapons puts a detterent in place whereas if one of those countries had a nuke they could use it without the fear of revenge. This is the position that israel is in within the middle-east.

I know exactly how much the US gives Israel. I know exactly how much the US gives Egypt. I know the US just gave Fatah 100 million in the past month for their security forces.

The US isn't giving anyone money to make nuclear weapons.

Holy shiz 1.8 bil is alot of money per yr for weapons given from another country. Btw I have seen this vid sometime ago which is pretty obvious from all the talk on Lebanon/Israel hostages etc. But shit he fudged the reporter.
