Interesting. I wouldn't be quick to say that he was once an excellent speaker. Maybe he was having one good night. And how do we know he didn't mess up later in that debate?

So? George Bush is obviously not a good public speaker. I think this video is misleading. If anything, it should say "Damn! Bush Had a Good Night!" To diagnose someone by a video? Cmon.

For the record, I am not republican. I'm not taking sides. Just bein real about it.

Again I agree with you but look at it for what it is. His tone, demeanor and presentability is in stark contrast to what it is in the other clip thus laying credence to the claim that Bush's skills have diminished over the years rather that him always being inept on the mic so to speak.

His tone and demeanor are still the same. That clip of him from the debates last year is probably the poorest clip ever. I see him talking all the time on the news and he's always confident in his posture and uses the same tone as he did in that 94 clip. Bush was under a lot of fire during those presidential debates. A lot of people didn't like him. He hinted once that he thought he might lose. I mean, under those circumstances, your confidence has to be shot--even as President.
