Authorities have reportedly found a 5-gallon gas container on the grounds of 50 Cent's Long Island home which burned down this past Friday (May 30).

The aforementioned $1.4 million home was destroyed by fire early Friday morning and six people who were in the house including 50 Cent’s ex-girlfriend and his son were rushed to hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.

Fire officials have determined it as arson and are looking closer into the cause of the blaze.

50 Cent and his ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, have been fighting over the house after the rapper attempted to have her evicted from the home unless she paid rent. Tompkins retaliated by filing a breach of contract lawsuit claiming that the rapper promised to buy her the house.

On Friday afternoon, Tompkins accused 50 Cent of starting the fire and threatening to kill her. She claimed that she heard someone break into the house before the fire broke out.

50 Cent's lawyer, Brett Kimmel, would respond to Tompkins accusations calling them “outrageous” and “offensive.”

50, who was in Louisiana shooting a movie when the fire occurred, released a statement saying that he was “thankful his son was safe and was eager to learn the results of the investigation.”

Neither Tompkins or 50 Cent have been named as suspects.
