By now you should have heard all the talk about female rapper Khia, known for her 2002 hit single "My Neck, My Back (Lick It); Trina, known for her sexy body and demeanor and signature title "Da Baddest Bitch"; and Jacki-O, all, being referred to as the Queen(s) of The South; but the owner of the crown hasn't been written in concrete and all the queens haven't had their say.

Trina first appeared in Summer 1998 on Trick Daddy's single "Nan Nigga," Jacki-O for her 2003 single "Nookie," and Khia first appeared in 2002 with "My Neck, My Back (Lick It)." Now, Trina has titled her website "Queen of the South" and in a May 2006 interview with Vibe Magazine, rapper Khia says quote "I am going for 'Queen of the South'. I feel like I have the females on lock, and I’ve been promoting 'Queen of the South'. My road people put that on my posters. I’m taking that seat next to T.I.," and to AllHipHop in June 2006, Khia says "I have made a lot of noise on my own in the South and all over the world. I run the streets in the South."

Well, Gangsta Boo debuted with her first solo, "Enquiring Minds," in 1998 but was first known as the 1st Lady of Prophet Entertainment/Three 6 Mafia when she first appeared on Three 6 Mafia's album CD "Mystic Stylez" back in 1994/1995 along with DJ Paul, Juicy J, Crunchy Black, Lord Infamous, La Chat, Kingpin Skinny Pimp, Koopsta Knicca, Playa Fly and others. It was then that Gangsta Boo began to develop a name as the "Queen of Memphis" because of her, even then, totally unique style and gangsta demeanor un-compared to any other female rapper.

Well, Boo has come a long way since then, and is now returned, though still sort of humble, ready to claim what many fans would say is long overdue, the title of "Queen of The South". "You know, I'm so humble and I can get arrogant if I want to be but for the most part, I am so humble. I guess I was just letting these hoes play with it, I guess. But they were getting beside themselves," Boo told MemphisRap.com.

"I was one of the first females out of the South and not to mention setting trends and standards. And just to be on this underground crunk, I've been a big part of this movement since day one. So I felt like why not say something now and it was requested from my fans, they labeled me 'Queen of The South' ya feel me," Boo continues.

Boo states she is currently 'holding it down' in Atlanta preparing to release her new album possibly titled "Forever Gangsta". Meanwhile, Boo has brought it to the 'round table' as it was called throughout history in the castles of royalty, and has given fans and everyone an exclusive listen to her new single, "Queen of Da South," which is premiering on MemphisRap.com and Gangsta Boo's official MySpace page.

"We're major, but without a major deal, waiting on a major situation. We're in Atlanta getting it but keeping it 901," states Boo. The "we" in her statements refers to her now producers and, according to Boo, the only crew she's affiliated with, Drummer Boy and the Drum Squad, which, in her interview with Memphisrap.com, Boo places emphasis on being not affiliated with any other camp but "The Drum Squad" and the "Street Ringers".

Boo ends with saying that fans and everyone can expect 2007 to be a brand new beginning and a brand new end to the quote "bull***t" of who's 'Queen of the South.'

"Why you b*tches even step in the game/Talking Queen of the South, b*tch, that ain't yo name/It's the G-A-N-G-S-T-A Boo, keep it all the way gangsta/And I will shank yah/Take it to the dirty south/Yall knowing who the Queen of The South/Nan one of these b*tches that's running their mouth/Not knowing what they talking bout," is just a taste of Gangsta Boo's Queen of Da South lyrics.

In related news, Gangsta Boo's younger brother Lil' E "Raw Talent" is expected to be working on his album after being released from prison on robbery charges soon.

Boo shits all over the rest of the female rappers that are out now. I give Latifa, Missy E. and Ms. Hill their props along with the other old school female legends but all the female rappers out suck ass. Eve hasnt impressed me in a long time. Trina and Kim and Brat are carbon copies of each other. There's a few underground women who are great but Boo is the queen of the south :thumb:

She battled Lady Luck at the Fight Klub a couple years ago. I guess that really rattled Lucks career since her Def Jam album got shelved and they dropped her.. Havent heard anything from her since.

Enquiring Minds was one of my favorite albums in the late 90's, im glad she coming back, but the machine backin her is important. I feel Boo more than Lil Jon's Bia Bia chick Chyna White.Plus Boo can spit real lyrics. Shes grimy.
