not that anybody gives a shit about me or my promotion but i just got promoted to assistant manager and got a raise to 12.50+ bonus... eventually my area manager wants me manage one of the new shops they opened. im happy but anyways if nobody gives a shit and its real apparent close this and make me feel like an asshole.

yeah i worked for UPS. i started at 10 dollars an hour loading trucks. to me that company sucks but im not gonna nock them i know people that bring home bank from there. esp. drivers. and you have to work your ass off over there. doing oil changes and shit is easy work and i actually enjoy it. alot of people look at UPS wrong like its easy. fuck that working for UPS is working your ass off driver or not. UPS i was coming home all pissed off half the time, aching like a MF, always getting yelled at even if i was going good, and wasnt getting maybe 20 hours. although its an easy job to get into.

Congratz on that. I was a manager at UPS for ten years, the drivers top out at $26 dollars a hour in the USA after three years of driving, then they get 50 cents every year after that. I don't remember what my friend started at but it's a three year progression. It's forsure not $13.50

Jesus you guys get nothing. Minimum wage here is $16.50, and with the current exchange rate, thats US$14.85.

The last time I had a job I was pulling down US$25 an hour and that was about ermm... 2 years ago now.

comparing pay rates from other places, especially different countries isnt really fair. sure it "sounds" like alot more, but i donno, maybe im wrong on that one...

maybe im wrong here but if our minimum wage is 6.25 then im making twice that (12.50 + bonus). if im gathering your information correctly then you were actually making less than twice the min. wage per hour. alot under if im correct your saying your MW is 14.85US, so ud actually have to be making 29.70US to double your minimum wage and u were making 25$US...

i believe that minimum wage is set a certain way for reasons. cost of living, etc.
