I agree with you kinda, but I think this is all in good fun for most of us though. I've personally never even met an emo, I think it's a US thing.

Emo is like..."traditional" emo is like Dashboard Confessional. The "new" emo is more like "screamo". People consider bands like Senses Fail, underOATH, and The Used to be emo.

People call like Fall Out Boy and Yellowcard emo. They are not emo. They are punk/pop/rock.

i don think AFI is, but the other 2 and the Used, those r probably the most mainstream emo bands. But i cud get a fuckin list of bands that r emo off of my ex who has every fuckin emo/screamo/straight edge band ther is on the planet
