From my point of view it isnt excuses, I think if anyones analysis of how it all started is to be taken into consideration it should be his. If your going to have solutions you have to know the problem and its history. I dont think its too hard to beleive the Crips started out to protect, many organisations start out with good intentions and turn into something ugly. Just look at Communism!

i have a lil bit of faith for our system... he helped found one of the baddest gangs in the US, that alone ties him to a shit load of murders. has he changed? who the fuck cares... if he was al capone and pone was nominated for the nobel peace prize and started helpin niggahz would we have cared? fuck no... plain truth is that he already fucked up his chance.

The solitude of prison can bring with it alot of Self Assessment. Malcolm X went into prison as a drug addicted hustler and came out as a Political Spiritual leader. Nelson Mandela was considered a criminal in South Africa and came out and became President. The entire point of prison is to rehabilitate, whats the use if you dont recognise those that do?

I think your being a little too critical like I said I've read Uprising which is full of ex gangbangers who are 100% devoted to peace. It does happen just because they've done bad things in the past doesnt automatically convict them for a life of murder, especially in this case where he's been locked up for so long disconnected from his former life that put him in gang scene. I also heard during his trial the prosecution excused all Black jurors, simply on the basis of race - which is against the constitution.

I'll quote Oprah, "you are not your past, you are the possibility of what you can be" I'm not saying he should be definately set free, I'm just saying his voice shouldnt be killed.
