This thing could theoretically power your house, for free, and the technology exists; or so they claim at least....

And how it works:

It's bollocks, like all the others.

"Searl also claims to have had his house powered from one of his SEG devices. However, press reports indicate that instead he bypassed the electric meter. Searl was subsequently convicted for stealing electricity and damaging the property of the electricity company"

Actually from what I understand while that did happen it isnt related to the Searl. He was arrested 30 years ago (or close to) for stealing power from the electric company and also for cutting down power polls and taking apart a public power station. Looks like he has a grudge against the power companies, but I dont think he claimed to have the SEG powering his house then.

Look, this is all very simple.

You need energy to make energy. Simple as that. You can't get free energy out of the blue. Anybody who claims to be have discovered a new way is either lying or wrong.

The best solution for a house is a solar powered house that stores the energy in multiple heavy duty batteries and converts some into hydrogen for fuel. That's the smartest way of conserving energy I have seen. I doubt anything else can beat that.

This device doesnt claim to make energy out of no where, it pulls energy out of it's surroundings. Just like solar power cells dont just "create" energy, they collect energy from their surroundings. Same thing.

Free energy is possible. Tesla patented a free energy device in 1901 that utilizes Radiant Energy.

I'm wary. Okay, so the point that it subtracts energy from it's surroundings had me confused. I'm not a scientist, I don't claim to be one so I don't know what can or can not happen, but it sounds very far-fetched. Until I see some published article about this, I'm not holding my breath. The idea is interesting in theory, but I often ponder on the future of mankind, so I don't want to "get my hopes up".

It's not the same thing. If this were genuine, it would be a perpetual motion device. So it's not genuine.

Just because you have a patent for an idea doesn't mean it works.

Bear in mind that this is the same guy who claimed to have built and flown an anti-gravity device, which NASA then stole because it could fly to the moon in half an hour. :suspicious:
