Yes, and I'm probably the only person in the entire world that likes it more than That 70's Show. Go to www.alluc.org you can watch all the episodes there.

It's fucking hilarious. I love the 80's and everything about it though so it suits me to a tee. I love that they hang out in the club and the record store. If I could live in any decade it would be the 80's. I mean obviously I did but I don't remember it THAT much.

I liked it, but it was not that '70s show at all...

There was no "burns", no 360 circles... People expected it to be like the gang of 70s show having fun.

I think it failed because the expectations were relaly high.

I've always said that "That 80's Show" would have been majorly successful had it been called a different name and not been so hyped. I feel exactly the same way about "Joey" - got both seasons on DVD and they are funny as fuck.

What went wrong was that like you said, expectations were high - but not only that, the networks pumped a shitload of money into them and over hyped them before they launched.

Sitcoms need time to develop. They never hit their full potential until at least the 3rd or 4th season - look at Friends, the first few seasons blew compared to what came after, same with Cheers, same with Frasier (the only long lasting spin off - mostly because they didn't overhype it before it started, not to mention that the Frasier character wasn't even in Cheers that much towards the end of the show)


The main character in that 80's show wasn't eric's cousin i don't think....where did you hear that? There isn't any other link except the name as far as I can tell.

My favorite episode of That 80's Show is the one where the dude is writing that song and it's really slow and ballady and then the sister sneaks in behind his back and turns it into an uptempo dance track and plays it at the club lol. That episode was hilarious. I like the sister character and the asian dude the best. They were hilarious characters.

Bring back That 80's show!!!! If I was a sitcom maker I would make another show just like it. I think it would do really well under a different name and given a few seasons to develop. TV companies don't give shows a chance these days. Look at how Fox cancelled Family Guy originally and now it's the biggest show on TV. Was it due to DVD sales that they brought it back? I wish they would do that for That 80's show but it would cost too much money cos of clearing all the music used in the show I think. It's the same with record labels - they don't give artists a chance to develop and room to experiment. They just want pre-manufactured hits by songwriting teams. That's why the music industry sucks and TV sucks these days as well.
