The flying car that stars in one of the Harry Potter movies has been stolen.
The blue Ford Anglia 7990 TD went missing from the South West Film Studios in St Agnes, Cornwall.
It featured in the adaption of JK Rowling's second Harry Potter book, The Chamber of Secrets.
Lead characters Potter and his friend Ron Weasley take it on a chaotic flight to their wizard school Hogwarts.
Devon and Cornwall police said the car vanished between 5.30pm on Wednesday, October 26 and 4.15pm the following day.
A police spokesman said: "For those who have not seen the Harry Potter films, this is the car that flies in the movie and is very well known.
The car was in a poor state "It is believed that the vehicle could not have been driven, therefore it is suspected that it would have to have been towed or full lifted from the scene."
The car, which was in a poor state of repair, was under a tarpaulin at the site.
"The thieves may not have known its connection with the films, and just thought it was a classic car, or it may have been a Harry Potter freak," added the spokesman.
Anyone who may have seen the vehicle is asked to contact the police on 08452 777 444 or Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
