bigmack said:running 10 minutes will do absolutely nothing. You must run at least 15 minutes to burn off all liver glycogen before your body starts to use fat for energy. You should run/jog get at least 40 minutes if you want results. If its just 10 minutes dont bother you're wasting your time
i run 10 minutes a day and do 190 situps afterwards..it's been goin on for two years now. and this is every day. in the summer i biked 20 miles a day and the evening went out running and did my sit ups.
The point is that i don't eat healthy food and that's why my stomach still ain't flat. IT TAKES A LOT to get a flat stomach.
yes,you are wasting your time.crunches dont burn that many calories.that "burn" most people feel is only lactic acid buildup. lol @ the infomercials where people say WOW I CAN FEEL THE BURN.its not fat you're burning.flo2thend said:so ur saying that 10 minutes run and 30 minutes different kinds of crunches afterwards does NOTHING even if I do it DAILY???
The.Menace said:Work out rather 3 times a week then everyday, but if you work out, work hard.

actually...running and other cardio workouts burn more calories than weightlifting. Thats tha reason y people such as bodybuilders do hours of running each day wen their closer to their competitions (because its tha most efficient way to reduce bodyfat and expose the shape of the muscle). people that want a six pack or what not shud do more cardio to reduce bodyfat in their midsection.The.Menace said:running can't burn too many calories

The.Menace said:I always work out to the point of pain and beyond that, it's called workin out, not chillin lol and nope I don't have any motivation problems, but I guess you could call me an athlete - gotta love soreness.
the soreness motivates me so i always work out til im completely sore. i love the feeling.:thumb:bigmack said:ummm...
so STFU.
and even if you had a 6 pack, that still doesnt mean your excercise routine is responsible for it. Genetics, metabolism, calories all play a role.
Let's see.Hmm 10 minutes run = about 50 calories burned max,and that's only from your glycogen stores. 30 minutes crunches = at most 100 calories burned. So your excercise routine burns 150 calories. That's an insignificant amount. 3 slices of bread have more calories that that.
The.Menace said:I don't think that u do your situps the right way. I doubt u'd be able 2 do 180 situps and anyway I'd rather suggest crunches then situps, but go and google, find out how they are done. If you don't do them the right way u're cheating and it won't help.
