Therefore keeping it in original form is the RIGHT thing to do, even if that means not selling as many records. If it is about preserving 2pac's legacy then preserving the original sound is paramount. I don't recall this happening to Elvis's music? Correct me if I'm wrong.
This is what i've been thinking ever since and will continue to believe in.I find people wanting Pac's music to sell like 50 funny and people who say he NEEDS to sell ridiculous.Sure i want him to sell records,it brings money and everything,But no,i don't think he needs to sell records that desperately.Imo,i don't really mind if he doesn't sell that much, what i do mind is the record being good. You might ask well wouldn't 'good' record sell good then,it doesn't make sense.Yea good record should sell good but not today.Today most people will be attracted to that Swizz Beats chopped and crunked up beat with words of 'I'm a hustla..ima ima hustla..' on hooks while Lil John on the backround 'Yeahhhh okayyyyy..' and Mike Jone's gold teeth on the screen.

My point, fans these days wouldn't see that album as being good (if it had the right producers and guest that we know of). They wouldn't know who JJ or Mopreme Shakur is unless they have been following them over the years. But once they see Swizz Beats and Mike Jones on the tracklists they'll automatically want to buy the record.Unfortunetly theres more non-Pac fans then there are real Pac fans which makes it hard to sell records. However that wasn't the case with LTTG,that album had that big name producer and big name guests but that album in an exception. One,the real fans made it happend literally and not bought the album and two, others actually thought it was garbage and that it wasn't worth the money.

So don't make a record that will have a primary concern on sales and a hope that it will attract Lil John and Mike Jone's fans.Make a record that will satisfy those real Pac fans.

I hear a lot that if the unreleased songs were kept in OG form that they wouldn't sell. This is BS. Funny how many millions of records Elvis sells each year and they don't touch his music except remaster it. Why is 2pac's music handled so differently? Sad thing is, they could release the OG's, market the hell out of it and the average 15 year old 50 cent fan wouldn't know the difference. Maybe he or she would like the sound of the mid-90's? It doesn't come down to keeping 2pac's music fresh, it comes down re-master the OG's and spend some coin marketing the shit out of it. Remember 2pac is well known. Build on the fact that he has been dead for 10 years and is still releasing albums.

Has anyone at Amaru thought of remix the unreleased and then about 6 months later, release the originals. If they would have done this all along, they would have sold 4 times the records and could have released a box set this year with a bonus CD with new unreleased. Anyone feel me?

man the bitchin' that goes on in this board is unbelievable!
IMO I like this track, some of yall need to bring yo self out of 96 its ten years gone now rap music is changing, Fuck My fav pac shit is from 91 to 94 2pacalypsenow , thuglife, s4mn he was on fire then. I know am not gonna get anything near that now but I still choose 2 embrace the new thinking behind this realese. Pac rips it no matter who prod. the beat or who guest apps. on the joint he shines brighter than them all and the messsage is still the same. At the end of the day pac's venom is still there and to me thats all that matters. The people that pac spoke for, the people that felt like it's hopless are still gonna hear the message! Do you guys that are hating on this joint really think pac would Give a flying fuck if you got an og or not? NO the fact is that most of the og's were cuts that pac did not want on albums. Last of all amaru wont sell anymore OG boxsets than they will this new album FACT.

I respect your opinion. But answer one question, why is 2pac's music fucked with some much? Again other dead artists(ie: elvis, bob marley, nirvana) their music is left as it was created. And who knows what Pac would want and frankly it doesn't matter. I also never said once I did not like this mix.

lol. the track is not THAT Bad, but its not good either. in other words, its a nothing track. Its not a club banger, i will never hear this on a dance floor in New York city or anywhere else for that. U cant dance to this..so their goal of making a song we could dance to is irrelevant and doesnt apply. Now, since this goal wasnt accomplished i would have rather heard the song with a different beat. The beat is like i said, mediocre. not good, not awful..just nothing. What the hell was the point of the track? i guess maybe it could pump you up kinda...but other than that it doesnt accomplish shit...

not that bad!!! at first it took me a few listens to get used to, but I can see why this track was made this way....the clubs, this will actually help sell the album if the song is always playing in the clubs..trust.:thumb:

I still don't understand why are peoples intention to think whether it will help sell the album or not.Instead of thinking, is this a quality record that i can just listen to now and years to come with confidence and joy?

This track is definitely a banger.

I just did my laundry listenin to this shit, it gets a motherfucker hyped.

Isn't a good thing that the 96 hustler/grinder Pac is back in the limelight?

AM I WRONG CUZ I WANNA GET IT ON TILL I DIE?! - that is a good message for a song. People gotta know that that was wat pac was all about - GETTIN IT ON till he died! Living each day like it was the last one left!

Modern fans are getting the impression from single that Pac was this depressed, melancholy, languoros poet that sat around lamenting the world's ills and doing nothing else. People gotta know this is the dude that GOT IT ON TILL HE DIED!

WORD!
man I gotta gota get the dirty version of this the blanks in the song are starting to annoy me:thumb:

we have a contender for LTTG. The only hope left is that after all the remixes have been put out, amaru will realise that the only way to take more money of us will be to release the OGs. Not looking forward to this album but 2012 looks alright

Try to fade out the beat an just listen to Pac's voice.
His verse is crazy ... "outlawz bustin while we rushin .... UNTOUCHABLE".

Pac's energy is sick!!!

^^nah there's a better solution, just listen to the original version and then you can enjoy the beat and the lyrics.

i agree with you on the energy thing though, pac seems like in a rage when he yells UNTOUCHABLE. of course i am going off what i know from the version that i heard, since i refuse to listen to this.

alright... :D I havent ever bought LTTG!!! Whooo! I downloaded it from internet! whooo! it was the only album that came out after Pac's death that i haven't bought in a protest. And i'll probably won't buy this new album too!! whoo! :D anyway i'll download it first.

shit, at least lisa had the decency to keep the beat almost exactly the same when she remixed the song. too bad about at least yaki being remixed out, but to date i think she's the only (or one of the only) people who actually put herself alongside 2pac in a song after his death but KEPT THE BEAT THE SAME.

RIP N.I.N.A.

Hopefully we can get an acapella of this soon, so then an OG Vibe can be attempted.

Let the bitchinnn begin... golden era, golden era damnn it aint no 1994-1996 anymore we are living in 2006! accept it or go back and listen every fucking day to all eyes on me.... Untouchable club bangerrrrrrrr :)
