since the ex-bitch wrecked my old one, i've been without a car to call my own, since april. finally got one yesterday.

its nothing spectacular, but i love it as of right now. its a white 2007 mustang, only a v6 [:(] and automatic [:(] but its mean as hell.

i dont have any pictures yet, but its dirty anyways from all the rain, and i'm not washing it yet because its supposed to rain until next wednesday lol.

Actually, for an 89' ... the shit is a tank. Hasn't broken down on me yet, everything works fine, it guzzles gas though. That's all.

fuckin right, i was thinkin about paintin it black. maco, or whatever, will paint it for 200 bucks. cant beat that.

at the very least, i was thinking black stripes down the front. but thats so cliche... i'd prolly just paint the whole thing, considering it'd all be the same price.

Not bad. Do you have any plans for the car as far as modding, whether for looks or for performance?

And out of curiosity, how much did you pay? I read about a Ford dealership here in Southern California letting new '08 Mustang GTs go for $18k or so.

lol the car was still running...

it has traction control, so that helps a bit in the rain and snow. first rear-wheel drive car ive owned, so its still pretty new to me.

i paid 13,775, counting gettin it licensed and put on the road and all that. they wanted 13,995 not including that stuff, but my grandpa jew'd them down lol.

as far as modding it, i plan on making it look tough before i actually make it tough. i dont like how pretty it is... i want to paint it a flat black color, put a new hood on it, make it look hard. more like the car from death race, lol. i'm a fag.

There's a lot you can do to make it look more aggressive. I was never really a fan of the huge foglights of the Mustang GT anyway. Just look at the Saleen Mustangs, they all have the foglights removed and look really bad ass.

^ Well it IS typically cheaper when sold on its home soil, especially when these things plague the streets in large quantities. I wouldn't mind the 2010 Mustang GT though, those things look really nice.

Well, apart from that, in most European countries new cars get an additional tax on top of it's purchase price based on it's economy/polluting/weight etc.

So any type of performence car gets very expensive very quickly. Especially here in the Netherlands. It's almost criminal. Prices are nearly doubled for fast cars.

The reasoning is that a car that drinks more and pollutes more is more damaging than "normal" cars. Now there's some merit to this thought, obviously, but it negates the simple fact that almost no one buys a seriously quick performance car to be in gridlock 5 mornings a week. The principle on which the taxation is based only works if all cars are used equally, and they're not.

A Veyron sets you back a million euro's. That's what VW wants. Ok. Belgium, where there is no such additional tax, a Veyron will cost you almost exactly that. One million and fifty K Euro's. In the Netherlands?

1.8 million.

800.000 goes to the state.

It's ridiculous.

That's why you don't live there. :)2
