Fighting in CHURCH

I Was waiting to talk with my pastor while he was taking a picture with his wife for his anniversery. some guy walks up to him drunk and high innterupting what was going on. my pastor tells him to leave the grounds but he doesnt and proceeds to curse my pastor out. the head usher guy and i ask him to leave and grab him to take him out side. as we are going out side he punches the head usher in the side of the head so i take off on him - i lit him up then got behind him and took him to the ground with a choke...he pasted out . we waited until the police came to turn him over and come to find out that the guy always shows up to church harrassing someone or feeling on young girls or what ever...but it didnt matter because when the cops came I had to give my information for roughing HIM up...suddenly around the church everyone is talking about it like I M CRAZY - when the pastors own son in laws didnt do anything about this crazy guy disrespecting the man of god or the church..they just watched as i dealt with it---so now i feel like a prostitute....like i felt as though i was doing the right thing since he was violent but now i feel dumb since he's now gone and im there with a reputation...

you felt like you did the right thing and in some ways you did but in their eyes you resorted to violence which makes you no better than that crazy guy. they probably thought there were other ways you could have handeld the situation. which there are.

well first im really cool with the pastor..we are close. so when dude starts cursing and yelling in the church sactuary (in front of his wife and kids no less) i felt he had to go...and was pissed...when we get out side and he starts to mouth off to me i get in his face about disrespecting the church and if he wants to fight, he shouldnt look for it with a 50 year old man..and told him to swing at me..which is shortly after he hit the usher guy...

secondly i feel like a straight prostitute because i have martial arts experience - stand up/ground etc and they know that..so when dude is going crazy (due to being drunk and high on coke) i felt like restraining him..the 'men' in church stood around watching then when the cops show up suddenly theres like 100 dudes standing around bragging how they helped hold him down and all that..but when asked how his nose got broken there was no one around...only now im looked at sideways - as if i could snap at any miniute

see if i' m able to throw them things in a club or bar why not for someone thats trying to lead you into a positive direction? right now it's still kind of wierd there becasue the bad girls now stare and the younger guys that i dont know are giving me daps and hugging me and all that because 'thats what they woulda done'..but i feel like a bitch because thats the one place yo uare supposed to be at peace..

The guy was being a biligerent dumbass and obviously wanted to start something...I certainly wouldnt blame myself if I were you. You weren't even "violent", you calmly tried to talk & reason with him and when that failed, he punched the usher, so then you took it upon yourself to make sure no 1 ELSE got hurt. and all you did was choke hold the guy, you didnt even give him his punch back . Anyway, dont feel too bad about it, I woulda done the same, did I go to church

I believe he said he broke his nose.

He was right to take action, but seeing he knew martial arts, it would have been better if he had, say, twisted the guy's arm behind his back and restrained him.

i beat this guy up pretty quickly. he apparantly had a broken nose but was still standing, so i kicked his ribs so he'd double over then i went behind for a choke and held him there till the cops came..

he was drunk man--i could smell it all over him and the way he was still going after being hurt i knew he was higher than normal...he had a restraining order put on him previously which put him in jail when the cops came...
