Field Mob Disses New York

#1
In this week's Pulse Report, the streets are buzzing about Field Mob dissing New York, Damon Dash getting blackballed by Jay-Z, Dave Chappelle's new Esquire interview and Superhead...well, giving head.

1. Field Mob disses NY. Tru Life, Papoose and other rappers leading the new New York movement surely won't appreciate Field Mob's recent stab at big apple artists. Apparently fed up with talks of bringing New York back and criticism of dumbing down lyrics, Field Mob recently called out New York haters, "I be listening to CDs and shit and it be seeming like niggas be wanting to say fuck the south, but they can't say fuck the south, so they be like let's bring New York back," Shawn J. expressed, providing a Jim Jones-eque imitation of New York rappers. "You a gay ass nigga if you worried about how another nigga operate." The duo then clowned NY slang, mockingly complimenting each other by repeatedly using NY expressions like "you fire son," "it's crazy" and "yo b."

2. Dash blackballed by Jay-Z. As cold as he's reputed to be, Dame seemingly got a taste of his own medicine recently. Forget the stuntastic swagger, Dash is hurting... hurting bad. In King Magazine's upcoming June issue, the international asshole spoke on his split with Hov. "My best friend did some shit to me that I never thought in a million years he would do," Dash told King. "It was straight war in there. Either you on Jay's side or Dame's side." So did Jiggaman blackball Dash? Well, how else would a man who signed Roc-A-Fella's only two platinum artists (Cam'ron and Kanye West), minus Jay-Z, not be able to secure a deal. According to the self-proclaimed cakeaholic, Jay had his projects frozen. Apparently, he is also seen as the "violent guy" and the "Bin Laden" while the God emcee is perceived to be laid back. Dash may be keeping his fingers crossed for a reunion, because the mogul says there's no love lost between he and president Carter. "I don't respect what he [Jay] did, but I'm not gonna let that wash away all the other stuff we did do," Dash offered. "For the most part, he's a good nigga." King Magazine's June issue hits newsstands April 25.

3. Chappelle cites cultural and personal reasons for leaving. Dave Chappelle ain't crazy. He's just fed up. At least he was. Several months after appearing on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," Dave dug a little deeper on his reasons for leaving his Comedy Central hit series. In a 10-page article in Esquire Magazine, the comedian gave more insight into his departure. "The bottom line was, white people own everything, and where can a black person go and be himself or say something that's familiar to him and not have to explain or apologize?" Chappelle told Esquire. After speaking on the pressure he felt while working on the third season, Dave stated, "The thing about show business is that, in a way, it forces dysfunctional relationships in people." "Chappelle's Show" may not be the end after all. Dave said he'd be willing to return to TV if he can find the right situation.

4. Superhead caught on tape. Unbeweavable! Forgive the cliché expression, but that's exactly what Superhair, oops, Superhead looked like during a recent appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show." Remember Halle Berry's movie B.A.P.S? She was sporting that kind of hairstyle, a straight up hair show experiment. But that's not the subject at hand. Word is, the world is soon to see how Miss Karrine Steffans earned her "Superhead" moniker. Before giving intellectual attention to the likes of Ja Rule, Diddy and Jay-Z, she gave porn star Mr. Marcus a hummmm job. Superhead is Steffans' only venture into the porn industry. "The thing that stood about her was that she gave incredible head," he told AVN. "She created something off that one act that people are still talking about today." The DVD was assembled from an old scene off Marcus' Cool Spot DVD.

5. Latifah gets on welfare. Royalty huh? Well, at least not in her next movie. Reports say Queen Latifah has just signed on to star on Welfare Queen. Based on a true story, the flick details the life of a woman who became rich by conning the welfare system. The movie will be produced by Flavor Unit in conjunction with Edmonds Entertainment.

"This is the first major deal we've signed with a studio, and we did it because we felt confident we could go from 'Welfare Queen' to 'Horror in the Hamptons,' which is a script by Alex Mirkin about a bunch of 16 year-olds chopping each other up," Latifah told Variety. "We get our hands on a lot of material we can do well, and our dream is to work up to producing three movies a year. The deal isn't based on me being in every film." In other news, Flavor Unit recently signed a deal with Focus Features and Rogue Pictures. Latifah and Flavor Unit's Shakim Compere also hope to release Reality Sucks, a spoof on reality TV shows.

Truthfully I am going to be pissed the fuck off is some stupid NY South rival flourishes, too many haters nowadays anyway and this will only make more. People just need to quit worrying about someone else and do their damn thing, if the South is making the music and money make something better.

I've seen the video where Field Mob talks shit about New York, fuckn clowns. Dont get me wrong i dont think all down south music sucks but the majority is garbage, anyway in this video after they were done making fun of the east coast then they freestyled, typical dumb ass shit how they got boat loads a money an cars sittin on 20's an ice. I would also much rather listen to Santana's whistle song then hear another garbage ass southern joint talking about what you wish you had. They got the nerve ta bag on east coast slang but some southern shit is the most retarded ish i ever heard "what it do"? the fuck is that? you asking about the cigarette lighter in your hooptie or you just dont know how to put a sentence togather? now whats good son!?

CRAZY RANT ALERT! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK

No I'm not from the South, and no, I'm not happy with the South being "on top" (whatever that means, that just means they control the mainstream, who gives a fuck?), but any excuse to get the East riled up is cool with me.

Of course there are artists from the East that I love (if need be, I'll make a list), but NY has thrown enough shit on other regions' rappers' names over the years that "god forbid" any shit get thrown back at them. What Field Mob said is nothing compared to all the "Bama" chants, refusal to break records from other regions (especially the West), or even play ANY music from another side except for, say, Snoop. New York, you are eternally the biggest, stingiest haters of anybody! Take these little comments that Field Mob said, and move on.

Not that this has anything to do with anything but...It's funny to me that the same area that threw all that shit on 'Pac's name when he was thrown in prison (not to mention put him BEHIND Jay-Z in that latest poll), still has the nuts to "claim" 'Pac as a NY rapper. NY, I will never forgive you for:

-'Pac's 1st shooting
-Diddy's career
-Lil' Kim's career
-Ja Rule's career
-50 Cent's ENTIRE career
-90% of Dip-set songs (especially the one that sampled "We Built This City")
-The "pink" movement (grown-ass men wearing PINK clothes)
-the SOHH.com forums (HILARIOUS!)

Do you want me to keep going?

Wait, who's Field Mob again?

homie he was probably more likely to be talkin about god damn NEW YORK than the SOUTH (Thought i havent seen this DVD) because after the west blew and NY stopped refutin it and havin its periods of rennasance NY became suddenly became GANGSTA. for real its fuckin redicilous how you can talk bout how somebody could defend somebody like DIPSET as ny rap then talk about South, and talk about how South stole all this that and use example with the South as a trak like LAFFY TAFFY. CLEARLY STOLEN RIGHT?
