i dont think most people know that this is a bob dylan song. most people just think of the song that was used and covered for the o'brother where art thou movie. im pretty sure it is a dylan song i havent been able to track the songer any further back than dylan

i like bob dylans music, but i have to admit, he sucks live. i saw him a few years ago and it was just bad. it could have just been this one performance but i got bored and left to watch stringe cheese incident

im sure dylan was great back in the day. it would have been amazing to see him perform durring the beatnik era

Agreed, his live performances from the 80s until now have sucked horribly. Of course there are some live performances that surpass their original (Isis, Ballad of a Thin Man), but he butchers others. But people who love his live performances like it because of the lyrics and not the way he sings it. I still find it unlistenable

Of course there are some Dylan fans here!;)

Some of my favorite Dylan songs are:

One More Cup Of Coffee
All Along The Watchtower
Girl Of The North Country
Forever Young
Hurricane
Knocking On Heaven's Door
Mr. Tambourine Man
Sarah
A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall
My Back Pages
etc.

According to Wikipedia it's a "traditional American folk song".

Tangled Up In Blue
Idiot Wind
Meet Me In The Morning
Hurricane
All Along The Watchtower
Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts
Shelter From the Storm
Buckets of Rain
Knocking On Heaven's Door
Mr. Tambourine Man

He's got so many great songs, but such a strange voice.. Grew up with Dylan so its nothin to get used to for me.

It's ok to like a song even if it is popular beyond belief. They both might have done the song, but Dylan defiantely has a version.

Yep, hendrix version is a cover of bob dylans. But Dylan liked Hendrix's version so much that he considers it hendrix's song and everytime he plays it he plays it in the style of jimi and dedicates it to him.

I like a lot of the songs that have already been mention. But, I also like Masters of War and Jokerman, which have not been mentioned yet.
