RHCP and Oasis - because their music just makes me smile. I've booked tix to see Oasis in July at MANCHESTER - should be a fantastic atmosphere at Man City Stadium

There's no way The Killers could have jacked the Franz sound. They formed in '02 and they're unlikely to have heard anything by Franz Ferdinand before then. I think it's more a case of their 'sound' being popular and record labels snapping up any bands that sound kinda like them (hence The Dears and The Futureheads getting some airplay).CalcuoCuchicheo said:Right now, I'm feeling Franz Ferdinand, The Killers (who sound as though they might have jacked the Franz style, but are still good) & Snow Patrol.

Brandon Flowers was apparently in a shitty synth-pop band before he formed The KillersCalcuoCuchicheo said:Styles evolve. They may have formed in '02 but who says that then, their sound was the one they have now?

Yeah, I would imagine there was some pressure from the label to make sure it sounded kinda Franzy.Anyways, that said, I do agree with what you said about record labels & how they go with trends, but I do think there is the possibility that, while The Killers may've already had songs with that 'sound' in their repetoire, that they have leaned towards more following Franz success &/or label advice.

They make some great music.
Muse sounds like a Radiohead cover band, but I like them.
