You have this medical condition that makes you look much younger. Are you concerned that some people find you funny because they think you’re younger as opposed to just finding you funny in general?

There’s no doubt about it that looking this young adds to what I do and why it’s so fucked up. I don’t rely on it, but I do play into it. If I didn’t look this young I don’t think the stuff I do would be the same. I use it to my advantage.

If I had to be insecure about one thing in my career it’s “are people laughing at me because I’m young or because the things I’m saying are funny?” But people don’t laugh at all my jokes. They’re not going to laugh just because I’m young and I’m saying it. If it’s not funny, it’s not funny.


Does looking younger allow you to get away with certain things?

I totally use it to my advantage. I think it’s obvious that if I looked my age I wouldn’t be able to get away with some of the stuff I’ve said to people. Even if it catches them off guard they might be offended but if they see it’s just some dumb teenager asking it they think “big deal.” But when I say stuff that goes over their head, that’s really what makes it funny.
