FA concern at Neville row

United need to sort the midfield situation out, Fergie should go for Diarra and Sneijder.
Gattusso (despite his age) and Mascherano.

Van Der Sar
Neville, Brown, Ferdinand, Heinze
Ronaldo, Mascherano, Gattusso, Park
Rooney, Van Nistelrooy

That's as good a team as any in the Prem, in my opinion. With subs from Howard, Vidic, Evra, Giggs, Fletcher, Scholes, Rossi and Saha.

^ i find it funny that on my Pro Evolution game, Man Utd bought both Evra and Mascherano...i think i have an even more realistic game :D

Vidic looks like a decent player from what i've seen of him, Brown and him should be competing for Ferdinand's partner.

Yea, two decent center midfielders and we should be able to challenge Chelski for the title.

I remember David Gill say United were trying to bring in two major transfer targets in the summer. I'm hoping for a combination of any two from; Sneijder, Vaart, Ballack, Diarra, Mascherano, Cambiasso or Gattuso.

To add to your list:

Rosicky, Duscher, Yaya Toure. I also wouldn't mind if one of the players we brought in was someone like Kevin Nolan, Steven Davis or Nigel Reo-Coker, as long as the other is experienced. The good thing about those players is that they have Premiership experience.

I heard that Ledley King was going to be leaving Spurs, and United were determined to get him rather than Arsenal/Chelsea. Problem is, he's a central defender really (at least, he prefers it there to defensive mid).

Yea, the problem with overseas players coming to the Premiership is that sometimes they can't adapt to the difference in style of play, such as Veron. Buying a player with Premiership experience would combat that problem.

I like King, I think he's a good defender and he proved he can hack it on the big stage against France in Euro 2004. However as you mentioned he is a central defender not a central midfielder and I havn't seen enough of him in midfield to decide whether or not it would be worth investing in him.

On another note, what did you think about Fergie playing Rio Ferdinand in midfield?

I think he did a decent job, he's a good passer of the ball. Problem is, he's not really physical enough. Apparently he wants to play in defence too.
