my grandma' is an example.
In Brazil this law is already on, but i think its with everyone, every 5 years we must renew the license . With people over 65 i guess its every 2-3 years.

yup agreed. they should also test to see if they drive really slow. because old drivers drive really too slow. they make traffic and that can be dangerous :woah: if the old driver drives too slow, they should not give him is license

agreed 100%. They try to take the loaw into their own hands. What i mean by this is, they go way too slow, or they think they run the streets cause they have been driving on them forever. They are either 10mph below the speed limit or they are driving like a bat out of hell, because they believe they wont be pulled over because of their old age.

A fellow student wrote an english paper on this subject, and gave a lot of interesting numbers and percents when it comes to the elderly causing accidents. AND DAMN were they some convincing numbers...too bad my short term memory is fried...so ull just hav to take my word for it.

Yes I agree, Not because they're old just cause they're stupid nah but serious I was at a petrol station the other day and this old guy reversed straight into a car, I dont know how he didnt see it if he had good vision it was right behind him! Also some time ago I saw an old guy driving on the opposite side of the road, this road had three lanes either side and a median strip down the middle, and on the correct side of the road was a bunch of traffic. He only noticed when all three lanes was full of on-coming traffic!
I think it needs to be done for the safety of the older generation and everyone else on the road. But nobody wants to anger the Oldies.

I didnt read the link story, but I agree, because after a certain age, everything slows down, like reaction speed and they become more affraid to do things.

Last summer my uncle whos up there in the ages hit me with his car 6 times. 6 times damn it, while I was on the streets. But every single time there was no one on the street to call the police on him and/or to help me out n shit. He's a bitch he drove away everytime talking bout he didnt see me on the sidewalk or I was in the way or sumthin stupid bout my pants being to low for not being able to run faster out the way.
