I've always wondered if anybody on this board had ever seen 2pac live in concert.

So...........had anybody?

I've seen him twice and actually got the chance to meet him once, but I've never seen him perform.

I think for the most part everyone that's currently active on this board (minus a very few heads) were all born 1982 and after. So the oldest person (saying they were born in 82) was only 14 at the time of 2pac's death. And hip hop wasn't looked at like it is today, so I highly doubt anyone off of here actually went to a 2pac concert/show let alone even be a fan of him back then. I think most users (not all) got into 2pac's music after he passed away.

Do tell more.....I want to know what he was like when you met him. I don't know. It's something I've always wanted to ask for the past several years I've been a part of this board but like you said, I just figured most people on here were too young at the time so finding someone who actually saw him perform or met him would be really hard. Did you get any pictures or anything?

I know I'm sounding like a total fan girl right now but it was just something I was always just curious to hear about and I never heard once of anybody ever seeing or meeting him. Like you said music wasn't what it is today. You won't find anybody who discusses meeting him or seeing his shows chatting on the internet.

It was actually inside of a mall, upper level of a food court, he was moving thru a little crowd when he said "what's up playa"..as he was going by.

That's actually all it was..I was a lot younger at the time and I was there with family.

I saw him once and then grabbed my Glock and called the cops, because that's what he said to do when you see him.

^lol.

Back in the days I used to dream about meeting Pac. As gay as it might sound now. Being a fan actually meant a lot to me. Ah good times.

My sister met him back in the day as did one of my best friends sisters also. I unfortunately never got a chance to meet him. I have however met alot of the people he rolled with which at least makes me feel kind of good by all the stories they shared with me about Pac.

haha in your wigger days. I'm kinda compelled to read your "failure" story on that. But it's a long ass post.

Even a lot of people who were around and who were in the hip-hop scene in the early to mid 90's never saw 'Pac perform live. Why? Because he very rarely performed live.

I would wager that he probably did more live performances as a dancer/occasional MC with Digital Underground than he did in his own solo career.

Exactly, he was more into making his music.

Casey yeah I always knew that he hardly ever performed live but I was just thinking with the rare times he did if there were anybody out there on here who got to see him. Anyways. Thanks for all the replies guys.

No actually I do recall one of the outlaws a while ago talking about some shows they did on a tour I think in Germany or some place way far out.

my coworker actually just last week told me about when he saw him and biggie perform. it was 92 or 93, right after party and bullshit dropped. my coworker was in NY at the time, so, who knows, it might have been that famous live performance that has been circulating for years. he said that he found out that pac--or someone--was staying in the same hotel as they, and he heard a party in pac's room. he and his boys went and knocked on the door, and pac answered. he didn't get mean or anything, but said that this is his time, and they need to leave him alone. my boy also said that he saw biggie sitting, chillin' in the back of the room.
