-Afghanistan is in the Middle East. Its culture is close to that of Iran and it lies on the borders. It's been referred to as a Middle Eastern nation most of the time by the media as well.I think calling people who think Afghanistan isn't in the Middle East uneducated is wrong.
-Iraq and Syria are Arab countries, Iran isn't.Your comment was irrelevant and made no sense at all.

You're missing my point, though.I wouldn't go as far as calling you ignorant for your other comment, but Afghanistan can be seen as Middle Eastern, and it doesn't mean that those who think it's in the Middle East are uneducated.By your post you're claiming that only uneducated people think Afghanistan is Middle Eastern.

??

1st pic is the number of universities in each country. The pic is a map of the area, sure it includes the Middle East, but it's also showing parts of Africa, parts of Eastern Asia, parts of Europe, which clearly isn't the Middle East.

2nd pic, again a map of the area, not the sub continent of Middle East. All the countries are labelled.

3rd pic, not even related to your claim: "Afghanistan is in the Middle East."

If you don't like me calling those people uneducated, should I say educated people who learn the wrong information? (Which does suggest narrow-mindedness, people believing what they have been told from a nonspecific source, and then stating the belief as a fact. In this case, you were always told that Afghanistan is in the Middle East, but you haven't actually looked it up on the Atlas, or on the Internet. It's fine, now you know, and now you won't make the mistake again.)

What about responding to me, woman?

Fine. I'm a 16 year old who stays up late discussing issues on forums. Unusual?

Anyways, I am still not understanding what you are trying to interpret.

An uneducated person may solely believe whatever he sees on television or in the media, and he/she may always believe they are facts. (Seeing is believing right?) But, not under circumstances, such as generalizing about Afghanistan being a Middle East country because it is mostly comprised of Muslim citizens. What you said about generalizing without realizing is very true, because the people think they are right, yet they do not know what is right and what is wrong. And I was giving examples of these generalizations: "Americans think Canadians live in igloos." I was suggesting that only people who are uneducated about this situation where Canadians don't live in igloos will continually believe that Canadians DO live in them, and are they wrong? Yes. Should they be corrected? Yes.

You're missing the point like a free-throw shot. My post was aimed to show that YOU generalized without knowing it, not other people, lol.

I'm educated on a high school level. The other things I know are a plus.

But, what I was aiming at, is that there are uneducated people that do know the things you've mentioned. You could argue that you can't be uneducated if you know those things, but, it's a very thin line between the two. Just showing how generalizations are made without realizing.

Quoting myself, because critical designs is blind.
